Will of Archibald Beall, my great uncle, probated 8 Sept 1835, and transcribed below:
Sworn before Phil. Chew, Reg. Wills for Prince George’s County
In the name of God Amen. I Archibald Beall of Prince George’s County in the State of Maryland, being sick and weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind, do make, and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form, following viz.
Item, I give and bequeath to my niece, Sarah Ann Rebecca Beall, daughter of my Brother Theophilus Beall my negro girl named Sharlot with her increase to her the said Sarah Ann Rebecca, her heirs and assigns forever.
Item, I give and bequeath to my Brother Theophilus Beall, for the support and maintenance of my sister Hellen Beall, during her natural life, my negroe (sic) slave Alcy, my negro boy George, and my negro boy Luke, also all the rest and residue of my Estate, of whatever nature and kind, to him the said Theophilus, his heirs and assigns forever.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty fourth day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty five.

Signed, sealed and published in presence of Thomas Harvey Senior, Thomas Harvey Junior
September 8, 1835, Prince George’s County, Then came Thomas Harvey Senior, Thomas Harvey Junior, the subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing last will and testament and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that they did see Archibald Beall the testator therein named, sign and seal the same and heard him publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and testament, that at the time of his so doing, he was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding & that they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to this will in the presence of the Testator, at his request and in the presence of each other.
