      -Know all men by these presents that I SILVANUS PUMPHARY Late of the province of Maryland's now in the Colony of Virginia and County of Spotsylvania have this day Bargained and Sold and Delivered unto WILLIAM RUSSELL of the said County of Spotsylvania and Colony of Virginia one horzeman named CEASER for value received and do warrant the said Negro make have to the said WILLIAM RUSSELL his heirs and assigns for ever from me my heirs and assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever.       THIS INDENTURE made this Twenty first day of October in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred arid Forty eight Between SILVANUS PUMPHRY and MARGARET his Wife of the Province of NORTH CAROLINA of one part & EDWARD ROWZEE of County of Essex of other part: Witnesseth that SILVANUS PUMPHRY and MARGARET his Wife in consideration of Thirty eight pounds current money of Virginia in hand paid by EDWARD ROWZEE and by these presents do remise and quit claim unto EDWARD ROWZEE. his heirs all right title & demand of SILVANUS PUMPHRY and MARGARET his Wife in a certain parcell of land situate in County of Essex and on OCCUPATION CREEK or a Branch thereof, being by estimation Sixty and six acres be the same more or less it being the same land which RALPH ROWZEE deced., did give and bequeath by his last Will and Testament unto his Daughter, MARGARET, party to these presents all which land & premises are now in the actual possession of said EDWARD ROWZEE To have and tohold the parcell of land and other the premises with the appurtenances unto EDWARD ROWZEE his heirs; In Witness whereof the parties these presents have sett their hands and seals
