      Will of Daniel Tebbs, dated 27 Oct. 1740.
      Daniel Tebbs of the County of Prince William being in good health of body.
      Unto my daughter Hannah Hartley one cow and calf.
      Unto ny daughter Margaret Atwell one cow and calf.
      Unto my son Daniel Tebb one shilling sterling
      Unto my son James Tebbs one negroe slave named Abram.
      Unto my son William Tebbs one negroe slave named Great Jack
      Unto my son George Tebbs one negroe slave named Topsalem
      Unto my son Foushee Tebbs one negroe slave named Little Jack
      Unto my daughter Charlotte Tebbs one negroe woman slave named Sarah with her increase to remain in the use of her mother Charlotte till the day of her marriage
      Unto my Dearly beloved wife Charlotte Tebbs two.Negroe men slaves named Jack and Abram for and during her nauurall life and afterward to redound to the above named James and William Tebbs.
      Unto my son James Tebbs one negroe slave named Frank after the death of his his mother Charolet to be valued and appraised when at the age of fifteen years by my executors and the money to be equally divided among my following four sons James Tebbs, William Tebbs, George Tebbs and Foushee Tebbe.
      Unto my sons James and William Tebbs all this tract of land whereon I now dwell to be equally divided betwixt them, my son James to have my dwelling house at his mother Decease and that they pay yearly unto the said George and Fushee Tebbs five andred pounds of Tobacco each yearly for four years after the said George and Fushee shall come to the age of twenty one years.
      As also all my singular and my personal estate to be valued and appraised in money and that it be equally divided amongst my loveing wife Charolet Tebbs, James Tebbs; Wilim. Tebbs, George Tebbs and Fushee Tebbs and my Daughter Charolet Tebbs.
      I do likelise appoint and ordain my loveing friend John Diskin, my sons James and William Tebbs the Sole executors of his my last will and testament John Dawkins

      TO ALL TO WHOME these presents shall come know ye that I DANEL TEBBS of the Parish of Copley in the County of WESTMORELAND gent for an in consideration of One negro man named Topson Hath released and forever quit claim forever unto my Sister in Law SARAH TEBBS Widow & Relect of my Brother GEO. TEBBS late of the County of Prince William deceased in her full and peaceable possession thereof now being and to her heirs all right title and demand whatsoever as I the said DANIEL TEBBS had or ought to have if these presents had never been made to the Four negroes Followin that is to say Anthony, Verney. Sid and Suck by any means whatsoever, To Have and To Hold the said negroes unto the said SARAH TEBBS her heirs and assigns forever. In Witness my hand and seal this third day of March one thousand seven hundred & forty nine

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I JOHN TYLER JUNR, of County of Prince William for Ninety three pounds current money of Virginia to me paid by WILLIAM TEBBS of County aforesaid have sold unto WILLIAM TEBBS the following goods and chattels. three feather beds and furniture, two tables, six chairs, one chest and one Black Horse, four Negro slaves Vizt. Robin, Rachael, Jane and Bob, one Delph Bowl, together with all the goods and chattles of Household and husbandry now in my possession, To have and to hold unto WILLIAM TEBBS his heirs and assigns & have put said WILLIAM TEBBS in full and ample possession by delivering unto him the above mentioned Delph Bowl in room of all the goods and Chattles, In Witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my Seal this Seventh March One thousand seven hundred and sixty seven
      in presence of THOMAS CHAPMAN, JOHN TYLER JUNR.

      This Deed of Sale was proved by the oaths of THOMAS CHAPMAN and GEORGE TEBBS to be the act and deed of said TYLER and ordered to be recorded
