B. Treon Note: I may have another DECENT clue about these people that may answer questions about Josias Fendall's wife!
Rev. John Lillingston, b. England but resided at Anne Arundel and Talbot MD is the clue.
He was s/o Geo. Lillingstone/Lillingston, b. 1625 in England.
Alexander "Lillington",(father-in-law of John FENDALL, s/o Gov. Josias Fendall and Mary MNU who d. 1695), had lived in Barbadoes and NC & was also a son of a man named George but was spelled as "Lillington".
Could this possibly be the SAME George?
**Were Rev. John Lillingston and Alexander Lillington possibly brothers?**
**NOTE the WYATT name below.**
Was Josias Fendall's wife possibly a Wyatt?
RE:
this eBook has information about him in it. This family in the eBook is connected to LILLINGSTON in MD and has a definite conection to a Thomas "Wyatt"--
May or may not mean something. But perhaps the Wyatt/Wiatt in Robert Fendall's will were his cousins!

After Mary Tilghman's (same as Maria I am fairly sure) husband Matthew Ward died, Mary Tilghman m. 2nd to Rev. John Lillingston. He then m. 2nd to Mary Carpender/Carpenter, d/o Simon/Symon.
But when Rev. Lillingston was getting ready to marry Mary Tilghman, Wid. Ward, there was a settlement drawn up relating to the estate of Ward:
"...and on March 20, 1682/3, John Lillingston and Mary his wife conveyed the same to Thomas Wyatt...." (Liber iv., No. 4, folio 183.)
---
THIS IS VERY SIGNIFICANT--
I think LILLINGSTON & LILLINGTON are probably the SAME FAMILY with various spellings.
DNA cold verify this.
I say this because in the NC will abstract for Robert Fendall we see ALSO see Thomas WYATT & John WIAT. We do know Robert's brother married Elizabeth LILLINGTON. We also know Robert's daughter, Elizabeth married a John LILLINGTON and was widowed before 1698.
Interesting seeing a land record in MD for a Thos. WYATT related to Rev. John LILLINSTON.**
