      This Indenture made 8th Septr 1708 between WILLIAM BRENT of Stafford County Gentl. of one part and RICHARD WEBB Ship Carpenter .. Witnesseth for full sum 18 sterl. as also the just sum of 500 pounds of good Toby in Cask paid .. hath farm let all that tenemt with the lands thereunto belonging bounded .. by Potomack River in Potomack Creek Neck southerly by Doctor RICHARD BATHAMS Tenemt formerly belonging, to GAD CHRISTMAS Westerly by the marked highway to a marked beach tree & then EW to the Creek & up the creek Westerly to the line of Mr. ISAAC MASON & northerly up that line to Potomack River which Tenemt & lands thereunto belonging being now in the tenure & occupation of said Richard Webb ,. to hold during the natural lives of ELIZA. the wife of Richard Webb and ANN daughter of Richard Webb as also during the natural life of JOHN WEBB son to Richard Webb & for and during the life of the longest liver of either of them paying yearly on 24th day Decr each year the quantity of three bushells of Indian Corn as also 6 fat hens or capons in the name of the yearly rent ..
