KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I HENRY ALEXANDER ASHTON of County of King George, Esqr., in consideration of as well the natural love and affection which I have and do bear unto my Brother, GEORGE WILLIAM BERNARDISTON SPOONER as of the sum of Ten pounds current money to me by GEORGE WILLIAM BARNARDISTON SPOONER in hand paid, I HENRY ALEXANDER ASHTON by these presents do bargain & sell unto WILLIAM ALEXANDER of County of PRINCE WILLIAM, Esqr., and his heirs a male Negro slave Charles unto him the said WILLIAM ALEXANDER and his heirs in Trust for the following uses that is to say, in the first place to the use of GEORGE WILLIAM BARNARDISTON SPOONER until he attains his age of Twenty one years & after GEORGE WILLIAM BARNARDISTON SPOONER hath attained his age of twenty one years then to the use of him & his heirs, and if GEORGE WILLIAM BARNARDISTON SPOONER dies before he hath attained his age of twenty one years then & in that case to the use of the said HENRY ALEXANDER ASHTON and my heirs; In Testimony whereof I the said HENRY ALEXANDER ASHTON have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this Second day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & eighty one

This Deed of Trust from under the hand & seal of HENRY ALEXANDER ASHTON to WM, ALEXANDER in Trust for GEORGE WILLIAM BARNARDISTON SPOONER was prented into Court by the said HENRY ALEXANDER ASHTON & proved by the Oaths of the witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded
