      IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen, I THOMAS WALKER of the County of Westmoreland in Virginia being weak in body butt of perfect sence and memory, praised be to Almity God, doe make my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme hereafter following: First, I bequeath my Soul to Almity God my heavenly Father hopeing by the menus of my blessed Saviour to receive it again at my resurrection and my body I bequeath to the Earth from whence it came, to be decently buried by my, Executors heareafter named, and as to what worldly Estate it hath pleased Almity God to bestow upon me. I bequeath it as followeth:
      Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son, JAMES, the track of land and planttation as I nowe live on to him and his heires for ever, and Thirty akers of land by GEORGE WALKERs to him and his heires for ever.
      Item. I give & bequeath to my Son THOMAS, three hundred and Sixty two akers of land that lies by POTOMACK RUN in STAFFORD County, to him and his heires for ever.
      Item. I give to my Sons, SAMUELL, WILLIAM and HARDDIGE and to my Dafter, HANNAH. twelve hundred and seven akers of land in STAFFORD County lying upon the LICK RUN and SALISBURY PLAIN RUN, to them and their heirs for ever to be equaly devided.
      Item. I give to my Wife. LIDYA my pacein Horse, Sharper, and side sadle and Negro Winne dureing my Wife's life. and after my Wife is deceased, I give Negro Winne and Horse to my Sun, JAMES:
      Item. I give to my Son, JAMES, my Oval Table and all the rest of my moveable Estate that is not all ready given I desire to be equaly devided between my Wife and Six Children. My Will is that all my Children shall be free for themselves and enjoy their Estate att the age of seaventeen years ould agd.
      Item. I constitute appoint & make my loving Wife, LIDYA WALKER, and my Son, JAMES and my Brother. GEORGE WALKER, my whole and soul Executors of this my Last Will and Testtament. As Witness my hand and seal December the 11th day in the year of our Lord 1726

      THIS INDENTURE made the 20th and 21st day of July in the Twenty fourth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the second and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty Between THOMAS WALKER of the Parish of Hamilton in the County of Prince William Blacksmith of one part & JOSEPH NEAVILL of the Parish & County aforesaid Planter of other part Witnesseth that said THOMAS WALKER for the sum of Forty pounds Current money hath sold unto the said JOSEPH NEAVILL his heirs and assigns a parcel of land containing Two hundred and Six acres whereon the said THOMAS WALKER now lives being in Prince William County it being the one half of Four hundred and Twelve acres of land taken up and PATTENTED by JOHN HUDNALL of the County of NORTHUMBERLAND and this said moiety or one half herein conveyed was purchased by THOMAS WALKER from said JOHN HUDNALL and the other half was purchased by JAMES WALKER Brother to the said THOMAS WALKER and by them equally divided by a dividing line as Followeth Beginning at a red Oak marked I W. Wt. to a Hickory & white Oak thence S. Et, to a double Chesnut corner to JOSEPH NEAVIL thence along said NEAVILs line to the beginning containing Two hundred & six acres of land to Have and To Hold unto the said EPHRM.       Walker & Wife to Lane Indenture & Privy Examination
      This Indenture made the 4th day of October 1766 between James Walker and Elizabeth Walker his wife of the county of Granville in the province of North Carolina, planter in consideration of 85 pounds current money of Virginia have sold to Joseph Lane a tract of land in Nominy Forrest in the parish Cople and county of Westmoreland containing by estimation 140 acres and bounded by the lands of the said Joseph Lane, the heirs of the Reverend Mr. Joseph Simpson, deceased, the heirs of Miss Elizabeth Turberville, deceased and the land of Mr. Gerrard Hutt now in the possession of Gerrard Hutt, Jr., (it being the land whereon Vincent McKenney now liveth as a tennant, which said land was given to Lydia Hardwick (who intermarried with Thomas Walker, father to the said James Walker) by her father James Hardwick as by his last will and testament bearing date the [xx] day of December 1726; which said land decended to James Walker as eldest son and heir at law to his mother Lydia Walker who likewise intermarried with William Plunkett, her second and last husband & died the 7th day of January 1766. In witness whereof the first parties to these presents have interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

      To Robert Munford, John Speed, Edmond Taylor, Benjamin Baird and Thomas Anderson of the county of Mecklenburg, Gent. Whereas James Walker and Elizabeth Walker his wife of the county of Granville in the province of North Carolina by their indenture of bargain and sale bearing date the 4th day of October 1766 have sold unto Joseph Lane of the county of Westmoreland in the colony of Virginia, Gent., the fee simple estate of 140 acres of land lying in Nominy Forrest in the county of Cople and county of Westmoreland, and whereas Elizabeth Walker cannot conveniently travel to our court of Westmoreland to make acknowledgement of the conveyance. Therefore, we do give unto you or any two of you power to receive the acknowledgement that the said Elizabeth Walker shall be willing to make. Witness Jame Davenport, clerk of our court the 7th day of October 1766.
      By virtue of a commission to us directed from the county court of Westmoreland we have caused Elizabeth Walker, wife of James Walker personally to appear before us and received her acknowledgement of the indenture annexed to the said commission and then examined her apart from her husband when she freely and voluntarily relinquished her right of dower and assented that the indenture should be recorded in the county court of Westmoreland. Certified under our hands and seals this 17th day of October 1766.
