      TO ALL CHRISTIAN PEOPLE to whom this present writing shall come I FRANCIS GIBSON of Sittingbourne Parish in Essex County send greeting in our Lord God everlasting this Tenth day of October in ye yar 1699. Now Know yee that I the said FRANCIS GIBSON for & in consideracon of Two thousand six hundred pounds of tobacco in hand paid to me by HENRY LONG of ye sd Parish & County have granted unto him ye sd HENRY LONG his heirs one tract of land containing One hundred & eleven acres more or less being ye land wch: my Father, WM. GIBSON, bought of RICHD. WEST by Deed dated ye 29th: of March 1666 begining & bounded as by ye said Deed will appear unto ye said HENRY LONG his heirs & assignes forever with all its rights & appurtenances together with all houses edifices gardens orchards woods To have & to hold heirs will warrant & for ever defend by these presents from ye claimes of any persons wt:soever And that it is clear of all other grants titles or incumbrances; I ye sd FRANCIS do promise that ye sd HEN: LONG his heirs & assignes shall peaceably hold•ye sd land forever In Witness whereof I ye sd FRANCIS GIBSON have set my hand &seal°

GIBSON deced) of ye Parish of Sittingborne in ye County of Essex do by these pr:sents for three thousand five hundred pounds of tobo: by HENRY LONG of ye same Pish: have granted & sold a tract of land being on ye South side of Rappa: River containing One hundred forty two acres & a halfe being one moyety of a Patent granted RICHD. WEST & ROGER CLOTWORTHY for Two hundred Eighty five & a halfe acres of land & by ye sd RICHD. WEST sold to ye sd WM. GIBSON, ye sd part be lyeinge on ye upper side of a line of marked trees wch ; divides ye whole Pattent; unto ye sd HENRY LONG his heires & assignes for ever with all its rights houses gardens orchards wood & appurtenances belonging; To have & to hold to him forever & I ye sd FRANCIS GIBSON for my selfe my heires will warrant forever from ye claimes of any persons whatsoever to peaceably occupy ye sd land at all times forever lawfully & peaceably wthout trouble of me my heires or other p:sons lawfully claimeing In Wittness I have sett my hand & seale this eleventh day of March 1699/1700
