- Whereas GEORGE NICHOLS hath scandalized & defamed Capt. WILLIAM NUTT by sayinge hee had occasioned differences betweene him, ye sd. GEO; NICHOLS, and FRANCES, his Wife; It is ordered yt: GEO: NICHOLS pay ye fine of One thousand pounds of tobacco & caske, asks Capt. WM: NUTTs forgivenesse, pay costs of suite & give Bond wth: security for his good behaviour
- GEO: NICHOLS hath accordinge to this Order askt: forgivenesse & given Bond
- JOHN HOLLOWAY & HENRY BRADLEY doe ingage themselves yt: GEORGE NICHOLAS shall bee of good behaviour to all his Maties: liege people for wch: they oblige themselves in ye penalty summe of Forty pounds Sterling

FRANCES NICHOLS, Wife unto GEO: NICHOLS, bee brought to ye Cort: by he Sherriffe & receave twenty stripes on her bare back until! ye blood come, & yt: she bee kept in safe custody until! she give Bond wth: sufficient security for her good behaviour
