Hughlett, John

Son John Hughlett-the land I had with his mother being in Richmond County, and upon the branches of "Totaskey", and the gold ring my father left me.
Two sons Ephraim Hughett, and William Hughlett-the Land my father lived on; the lower part where the old plantation is to my son Ephraim, and the upper part to my son William, to be divided at a valley formerly called "Chinkapin Valley", and the neck of land which lies in the fork of the branches next to the widow Dunaway to belong to my son William, and he Is to have my land at the bottom of "Five Acre Neck", to them and their heirs.
Son Yarrat Hughlett-land which I now live upon, to him and his heirs.
to be paid at day of marriage or at the age of eighteen years, which ever happens first.
If my wife so allows what I have given to my son John, she to have the rest of my estate, and she to be my executrix.
Witness: Robert Christopher, Ann Christopher, and. John Stanley.

Upon the Petition of EPHRAIM HUGHLETT and ELIZABETH his wife Daughter of THOMAS WINTER late deceased It is Ordered that HANCOCK NICHOLLS who married the Widow and Relict of the said deceased WINTER forthwith deliver and pay unto the said HUGHLETT his said wife's filial part or portion of her deceased Father's Estate with Costs alias Execution.

- Upon the motion of ELIZABETH HUGHLETT (Orphan daughter of MARY HUGHLETT deceased) her brother EPHRAIM HUGHLETT is admitted to be her guardian he giving Security to be accountable for what of her Estate is or shall Come to his possession.
- EPHRAIM HUGHLETT and SAMUEL BLACKVVELL do hereby oblige themselves their heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Separately in the penal Sum of twenty thousand pounds of Tobacco to the Justices of the peace for this County for the time being their heirs and Successors for and in behalf of ELIZABETH HUGHLETT Orphan daughter of MARY HUGHLETT deceased that he the said EPHRAIM who is admitted guardian of the said ELIZABETH shall render an Account of what Estate shall come to his possession belonging to the said ELIZABETH to the Court of this County when thereunto required and pay the same to the said ELIZABETH upon Legal demand thereof.
