PECKE one Silver Beare Boule holding aboute a pint & if either of these two children should dye then the other should enjoy the whole & if in case they should both dye with out heires then I doe give my Daughteer JANE PECK and whom she does make her heires and if in case shee dyes without heires it is to returne to my two Brother MARTYN HAMMOND & JOB HAMMOND.       THIS INDENTURE made the Eighth day of January 1683/4 and in the five and thirtieth yeare of the Reigne of or Sovereigne Lord Charles the Second &c. Between RICHARD KING of the Parish of Farnham & County of Rappa:, Planter, & JANE his Wife of the one part and ROBERT BAYLIS JUNYR, of the said Parish and County, alsoe Planter, of the other part Witnesseth that the said RICHARD KING and JANE his Wife for the full quantity of Eight thousand pounds of Merchantable Tobo: and caske to them in hand paid have sold unto the said ROBERT BAYLIS his heires and assignes Fifty acres of land being neare unto a Creeke commonly called FARNHAM CREEK in the Parish and County aforesaid adjoyning upon a tract of land belonging to the heirs of JAMES BIDDLECOME deced & on the land herein after granted, wch. said Fifty acres the said RICHARD KING purchased & bought of one ROBERT FRISTOE & JANE his Wife, now in the occupation of RICHARD JASPER, and alsoe all that tract of land contayning One hundred acres to be exactly laid out & survayed at the charge of the said ROBERT BAYLIS and to as neare as may be adjoyning and laying togeather about the Dwelling House of the said Plantation now in the occupation of RICHARD APPLEBY and abutting partly on the said hereby granted Fifty acres of land which said land the said ROBERT KING purchased of DAVID FRISTOE and had the same confirmed by an Order of Rappa: County Court dated the 5th day of July 1682 and all erections and buildings on the said two parcells of land and all other the rights & hereditaments to them belonging To have and to hold unto the said ROBERT BAYLIS his heirs from henceforth for ever Subject nevertheless unto the quilt rents which shall grow due to be paid unto the Chieffe Lord of the Prmisses and the said RICHARD KING and JANE his Wife will acknowledge these prsents in due forme before the Worll: his Majties Court of Justices for this County of Rappa: In Witness whereof the parties have sett their hands and seales Sealed and delivered in the prsence of

      - Ordered that BARNEBY WELLS &THO: NEW do on the (blank) of this Instant go to the late Dwelling House of JANE KING deced then & there to Inventory & appraise the Estate of the sd JANE KING & report thereof under their hands in writeing to ake to the next North side Court, Mr. GEO: TAYLER is requested to administer an Oath to the sd Appraisers for their true appraisement of the sd Estate as also any other person who hat the sd Estate in keaping for the true discovery of the same

Wittnesseth yt: the said RICHARD KING and JANE his Wife for the full quantity of Eight thousand pounds of Merchbl, tobbo: in caske to them or one of them in hand paid have sold unto the said ROBERT BAYLIS his heires and assignes Fifty acres of Land scituate lying and being neere unto a Creeke commonly called FARNAM CREEKE in the Parish and County aforesaid, adjoyning upon a devident of Land belonging to ye heires of JAMES BIDLECOMB deced, and on the Land herein after granted which said Fifty acres the said RICHARD KING purchased and bought of one ROBERT FRISTOW and JANE his Wife, now in the tenure and occupation of RICHARD JESPER; And also all that Plantation or track of land containing One hundred acres to be exactly laid out and surveyed att the charge of the said ROBERT BAYLIS and to be as neare as may be adjoyning and lying together about the Dwelling House of ye said Plantation now in the occupation of RICHARD APPLEBY, and abuting partly on the said hereby granted Fifty acres of land which said One hundred acres of land the said RICHARD KING purchased of one DAVID FRISTOW and had the same confirmed by Order of RAPPA: County Court dated the 5th: day of July 1682, And also all erections and buildings on ye said Two severall parcells of Land or Plantations thereon standing or belonging as also all other the rights and appurtenances to them or either of them belonging; To have and to hold the said Land and all and singular the pr:misses wth: all the appurtenances before hereby granted unto the said ROBT; BAYLIS his heirs and assignes from henceforth for ever, Subject nevertheless unto the Quittrents which from henceforth shall grow due to be paid unto the Cheife Lord of the pr:miccos and the said RICHARD KING tor him and his heires the said two severall parcells of Land before granted unto ROBERT BAYLIS his heires and assignes will forever warrant and defend by these pr:sents and the said RICHARD KING & JANE his Wife for themselves and theire heires do hereby grant as followeth (vizt.) that they will acknowledge these pr:sents in due forme of Law before the Worpll. his Mats: court of Justices to be held for this County of RAPPAE: which acknowledgmt shall be taken and it is hereby declred the same shall be confirmed to vest and settle the hereby granted prmisses in the said ROBERT BAYLIS his heires & assignes as if the same had been by Proclamations thereupon to all intents and purposes, And also the said RICHARD KING and JANE his Wife if lawfully required will make further assurances unto the said ROBERT BAYLIS of the pr:mises unto unto the sd ROBERT BAYLIS as by his Councill learned in the Law shall be advised.
