AN INVENTORY of the Estate of HENRY TOPPIN deced., taken & appraised by us whose names are subscribed; 20th August 1660. lbs. taco:
Imprs. His plantation contain 103 acres of Land with all appurtenances thereunto belonging; - 5000; A man servant 3 yeares & upwards to serve being in his seasoning, his wearing apparrel, a shirt & a hatt; five cows & calves whereof foyer of the sd calves being two calves, one heyfer of 2 yeares old, 3 yeareling heyfers & one steere going on of 4 yeares old, 2 saves, 2 barrowes of 3 yeares old, 3 barrowes of 2 yeares old, 10 shotes, his share of tobacco pitcht. by him for his crop; 4000 hills of Come, 2 pair of blanketts & 2 ruggs, a small feather bed & bolster & a paire of canvas sheets, 2 guns with 30 lbs ), 7 yards of blew linnen, 6 ells of dowlas, 7 ells of locerum, 9 ells of canvas, 3 lbs. & 1/2 of thred, a p:cell of spice, p:cell of fishing line, 4 knives, 4 paire of shooes, small table cloth : great chest; a table & forme; 6 pewter dishes; 9 spoones, great kettle. 2 iron potts, 2 frying pans, pestle, old falling axes, paire of fire tongs, p:cell of earthen ware, S milke treys, 2 meale trays & 3 sifters, 2 payles & a wooden dish, 4 empty caskes. a grindstone, an old Sea-bed & rugg, p:cell of Salt, p:cell of Poultry, p:cell of Lumber; WILLIAM HOPKINS his Bill; JNO: KENTs 3 Bills. Summe totall 17305

Northumberland County Court 21th of July 1660
- By the Oathes of RICHARD RICE and ROBERT HITCHCOCK sworne and examined in full & open Court, the whole Estate of HENRY TOPPIN, deced., (by his Last Will & Testament) properly belongeth to THOMAS ADAMS, and by their sd. Oathes is proved a nuncupative Will, And Probat thereof granted to the sd. THOMAS ADAMS, else execucon of the sd. Will is committed unto him, it being by this Court accompted authentiq & valid in Law
- RICHARD RICE aged 32 yeares or thereabouts sworne & examined saith that being in company with HENRY TOPPIN, THOMAS ADAMS & ROBT: HITCHCOCK, the sd. HENRY TOPPIN did say that if the sd. THOMAS ADAMS would live & continue with him (& that hee remained as hee was a Batchelor) & that if the sd. ADAMS survived him, that then after his decease the said THOMAS ADAMS should possess &enjoy his whole Estate & further saith not

- ROBERT HITCHCOCK aged 50 yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined saith the very same verbatim with the Depont,, RICHARD RICE, and further sayth not ROBERT HITCHCOCK

- Upon the Peticon of THOMAS ADAMS, it is ordered that a Commission of Administracon shalbe granted unto him of the Estate of HENRY TOPPIN, deced:, hee giveing in an Inventory & security to the Court
