      Will of JANE TURLEY.
      I JANE TURLEY of Truro Parish in county of Fairfax .. give and bequeath to MARTHA TURLEY, the wife of my son, SAMPSON TURLEY, during her natural life the use of a negro girl .. after said MARTHA'S decease, negro girl and her Increase shall be equally divided amongst my grandchildren, HENRIETTA TURLEY, GILES TURLEY, MARTHA TURLEY, ANN TURLEY, SAMPSON TURLEY, JAMES TURLEY, ELIZABETH TURLEY and SUSANAH TURLEY ..
      but insomuch as said negro girl is only mortgaged to me by my son, SAMPSON TURLEY, for the sum of Forty pounds by Deed duly admitted to record in Fairfax Court which mortgage is not yet forfeited, If therefore my son, SAMPSON TURLEY, shall hereafter redeem the said girl by paying the Forty pounds within the time limited .. it is my will the Forty pounds shall be equally divided amongst all my said grandchildren ..
      I give MARTHA TURLEY, the wife of my son, SAMPSON TURLEY, my blew cloth cloak ..
      to my granddaughter, JEAN TURLEY, two feather beds and furniture as they shall be found standing below stairs at the time of my decease .. (also a number of other items) .. my suit of silk cloaths consisting of a Gown and Petticoat, my spinning wheel, Box iron and heaters and all the Wool & Cotton which shall be in the house spun and unspun ..
      to my granddaughter, HENRIETTA TURLEY, one feather bed and furniture as it shall be found standing in the second room above stairs .. (also other items) ..
      to my granddaughter, MARTHA TURLEY, one feather bed and furniture as the same shall be found standing in the first room above stairs ..
      to my granddaughter, ANN TURLEY, my other feather bed and furniture as the same shall be found standing in the closet ..
      to MARY WALDEN, my black Cumbarzine Gown and Petticoat ..
      to JOHN WALDEN, son of JOHN WALDEN and MARY, his wife, one three year old black Mare colt ..
      to my friend, JOHN TILLETT, one cow and calf..
      to ELIZABETH CONNELL Twenty shillings current money ..
      to my grandson, JOHN TURLEY, my large Bible,
      to my grandson, GILES TURLEY, one three year old bay mare ..
      it is my will all my wearing apparel (except what is already given and such as I may hereafter think fit to bequeath by word of mouth) shall be equally divided between my two granddaughters, JANE TURLEY and HENRIETTA TURLEY ..
      residue of my Estate to be sold ..
      money I give to my grandson, JOHN TURLEY, to be paid him by my Executors at his age of twenty one and not before .. it being my desire the money shall remain till that time in the hands of my Executors.
      I appoint my much esteemed friend, Mr. ALEXANDER HENDERSON, Merchant, and JOHN TILLETT, Executors .. this 8 day September 1768.

      At a court held .. 15th May 1769 .. will presented (by Executors) .. admitted to record and on motion of Executors .. certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
