      mm note: Newman had unpublished Hanson notes at the Laplata campus library in the back room, but i don't remember seeing Nathaniel in them.

      I have my doubts he was a s/o Samuel.

      I believe this Nathaniel is the son of Nathaniel Hynson of Kent County who died Jan 1721. Nathaniel Jr. Hynsen is in a 1770 acount record of Cecil County.
