Ball, Spencer Mottrom, of St. Stephen's Parish
W. W. 16 September 1786---W. P. 8 January 1787
Two sons Spencer Ball, and Mottrom Ball-my tract of land below the hill known by the name of "Coan," to be equally divided between them, and son Spencer, to have his choice of the lots when laid. Two sons William Ball, and Henry Ball-the upper lands known as "New Spain," or "Peticats Neck," to be equally divided between them, and son William, to have his choice of the lots when divided. If either of my two sons Spencer, or Mottrom, should die without heir, their part of the land to go to the survivor, and if both should die without heir lawfully begotten by marriage, then the lands to be equally divided between my two sons Wm., and Henry, and their heirs lawfully begotten, and for want of such heirs, the lands to be equally divided among my daughters that shall be living at that time.
If either of my two sons Wm., or Henry, should die without heirs, then the land to go to the survivor, and if both should die without heir the land to return to my sons Spencer, and Mottrom,and their heirs, and in case all my sons should die without heirs lawfully begotten, the lands to be equally divided between my daughters and their lawfully begotten heirs of their bodies.All my negroes and stock of all kinds, shall be equally divided between all my sons and daughters that shall be living at the division of my estate.
The negroes given Joseph Conway with his wife, shall be appraised in my estate, and he to have his part with my other children.
Wife-my chariot and horses to her and her heirs.
Whole estate to be kept together 'till my son William, shall come to the age of twenty one years, for the advantage of education of my younger children and their maintanance.
Son Mottrom shall be furnished with money for his education in Glascow for three years, if he chooses to stay that time, but no longer, and the sum not to exceed one hundred pounds sterling. Sons Spencer, and Mottrom, shall give my son Henry, a liberal education out of their estates, and he to be brought up to a profession, whatever he should incline to follow, with the advice of his brothers.
My four sons-to have my mill.
Son William-my house at North'd Court House.
My unmarried daughter's negroes, shall work on my sons Spencer and Mottrom's land until they come of age or marriage.
The Stud horse to be sold, and the mares and colts that are not wanted on the plantation.

Mother Elizabeth Ball-my negro man Sam, now in her possession.
Sisters Elizabeth Ball, and Judith Ball-all my property not hereafter devised.
Brother Mottrom Ball-my negro man Ned.
Brother William Ball-to have the money or tobacco due for the hire of my negroes now in his possession, and to care for the discharge of all my debts.
Sister Elizabeth Ball-my negro woman Winney, and her child Fanny.
Sister Judith Ball- my negro woman Esther, and my negro children Pleasent, Delphy, and. Angella, but should my sister Judith die without heirs, the negroes given her to be equally divided between my brother Henry Ball, and sister Elizabeth Ball.
Brother Henry Ball-my negro boy Cupid.
Neice Lucy Elizabeth Ball-at the death of my mother, my negro woman Mary and her youngest child, but if she should die before the age of discretion or before my mother, the said Mary and child to go to my brother Henry Ball,
Mother Elizabeth Ball-to keep all my negroes now in her possession during her natural life, and then to be equally divided between my sisters Elizabeth, and Judith Ball.
