Justices of ye peace for Essex County in the just sum of Forty thousand pounds of good sound merchantable tobo: & caske, to the which payment we bind ourselves our heirs firmly by these presents; Witness our hands & seales this 10th day of November 1698
      The Condicon of this obligacon is such that if ye above bound MARY CARTER, Admrx. of RICHD. CARTER deced, do make a true & perfect inventory of all ye goods chattells rights and credits of ye sd. deced., & the same so made do exhibit to ye next Court that shall be held for the d. County of Fcsex. and make oath thereto; & truely administer on ye sd Estate according to Law & give a true ascot, when required & pay unto such persons as ye Court shall appoint; then this obligacon to be void, otherwise to stand and remain in full force and virtue

CARTER deced, to ye next Court upon oath to ye end that it may be secured for ye sd Orphans untill further proceedings may be had herein as ye Court shall think fit
