1656-1692 Old Rappahannock County, Virginia Will Book; [William Montgomery Sweeny]
GULLOCK, ROBERT, 6 February, 1683 ;23 May, 1684.
All my lands and tenements to be equally divided between my daughter Jane Gullock and the unborn child of my wife whether boy or girl.
My will is that all my sheep shall be kept upon the plantation till my daughter Jane and the child with which my wife is bigg arrive at twenty one or marry and then to be equally divided between them except one third part of the wethers
I give to my wife during her life. It is my will that none of my hogs shall be removed of the plantation but shall be and remain all for the good of the above said Children except my wife live upon the plantation then my will is that she shall have one-third.
I will that two-thirds of all my cattle shall be and remain for the good of the said Children equally to be divided between them and the other third to my wife.
To the abovesaid children all my linen plate and three feather beds and furniture curtains and vallence and do leave the whole tuition of my daughter Jane Gullock to my wife and sister Vaulx.
To Robert Payne one young sorrel horse branded with IG.
To Elizabeth Rowzee one young mare aboute four years old wch said mare commonly useth about John Williams Plantation.
To wife my horse Dick with side saddle bridle halter and whip.
My will is that all the rest of my horses and mares except the two old cart horses shall be and remaine to my above said children to be equally divided between them at twenty one years of age or Marriage which shall first happen.
I request my cousin Edward Rowzee to be careful to look after everything bequeathed to my two children and to brand the colt and marke the sheep and hogs for their use and for his care and pains I give him out of my stock every fower years a mare or horse colt.
To wife two feather beds with furniture.
My will is that after Mr Deans lease is expired for the plantation he now lives on I will & bequeath the use of it unto my loving friend Robert Brooke until my daughter Jane Gullock shall attain the age of one and twenty years making no waste of the timber for the use of the plantation and fencing and leave it tenantable and if my daughter Jane or other child shall happen to die before they attain twenty one I will the said Plantation to the said Robert Brooke and his heirs forever not exceeding above 100 acres of land.
To Robert Brooke my old horse Puppy.
To my cousin Edward Rowzee my old horse Jack with all the harness. All the rest of my psonall estate after my debts legacies and funeral expenses are discharged I give to Mr John Foxhall and Mr Robert Vaulx whom I make my Executors.

Codicil. The use of his maid servant Mary Therdford to go to his wife the time she has to serve. Leaves to his loving friends Mrs Mary Vaulx Mr John Deane Mrs Jane Deane Mr Wm Clapham Mrs Mary Clapham Mr John Foxhall Mr Robert Vaulx each of them a gold ring of 10 shillings price. Page 23.
