      IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen I THOMAS ORLEY in CHERRY POINT NECK in the County of Northumberland in Virginia, Planter, beinge of sound & perfect memory praised bee God for the same, yet knowinge the weake & fraile condition of mans body and the uncertainty of mans life, doe make this my Last Will and Testament in manner & forme followinge:
      Imprs. I doe give & bequeath my Soule unto God my Crean hopeinge by the merits of Jesus Christ my Redeemer after the expiracon of my time here to obtaine an eternall waight of glory wth : him in heaven hereafter; And my body I committ to the earth from whence it came: to be buryed in Christian buryall and for my worldly Estate, I dispose of it as followeth,
      It. I give & bequeath unto my deare & loveinge Wife, REBECKA ORLEY, after paymt. of my just debts, all that messuage or tenement whereon I now live, together with all the land & priviledges thereunto belonginge, to have & to hold to her and the heires of her body lawfully to bee begotten under the same tenure by which I doe at pr:sent enjoy the same.
      Next, I doe herein give unto my deare Sister, MARY HARDEN, ye Wife of GEORGE HARDEN, Foure hundred ( ) tobco. to bee carefully ( ) decease &deprt: ( ) the first ( ) & soe in case of more( ) moreover it is my ( ) from my Wife as heires ( ) unto JOHN HARDENS Sonne ( ) of MARY HARDEN his Wife ( ) want of such issue unto ( ) ORLEY of WHITECHAPPELL ( ) MIDDLESEX & his heyres;
      It.       - Upon the peticon of WILLIAM JOLLAND, who married wth: the Relict of THOMAS ORLEY, deced, It is ordered yt: hee take into his possession a full third part of ye Estate of the sd. ORLEY accordinge to appraisemt. in right of his Wife, hee relinquishinge the Legacy given to his Wife by Will; Provided the said JOLLAND give security for the paymt, of the third of the debts; And it is further ordered that 2000 lbs. of tobco bee allowed the said JOLLAND & taken out of the Inventory of the sd. ORLEYs Estate in consideracon of his Wifes wearinge apparrell & linnen, which were included in the appraisemt.

This condent hath five hundred of six penny nailes of ye Estate of Mr. MORRIS in his hands, The Land whereon this condent, liveth is his this condents owne. This resident receaved of MRS.
