      will dated 4 Dec 1715 and proved 30 May 1716
      leaves household goods to his wife Mary.
      To daughter Margaret one heifer,
      To daughter Winifred, one mare.
      The remainder of his estate to go to his son Richard at age 21.

      Will of Richard Cardwell, being weak in body, undated.
      Unto my wife Mary the feather bed and furniture I now lie upon and the best pott in the house and my chest. Alsoe my five cowes and two steares and a bull yearling and also my horse and my mare Jenny. Also eight sheep. Also my whole stock of hoggs, my whole cropp of corn.
      Unto my son Richard Cardwell all my wearing cloaths, my other pott, my Bunn and a bed and furniture. Alsoe my saddle and bridle.
      Unto my wife Mary one whole skirted(?) saddle and crib bridle. Alsoe all my new goods that I have in the house and my frying pann.
      To my son Richard my grinding stone and two large iron wedges.
      Unto my daughter Margrett one two year old heifer and all her female increase and a feather bed and furniture.
      Unto my daughter Winifred one two year old mare and all her increase, except the first colt she brings to my
      daughter Margrett. I alsoe give my daughter Winifred one young brown heifer and all her female increase.
      Unto my wife Mary all my whole cropp of tobacco, my debts being first paid.
      My loving wife Mary executor. My son Richard to be possessed with his estate at the age of one and twenty.
      My two daughters to be possest with their estates at the age of eighteen or day of marriage.

      I do also appoint that Mr. Watts should have the children's estates in his hands if my wife should die or marry.
