James Dermotte Tennille (son of George and Sarah) married Verlinda Townsend of Maryland. He lived in Prince William County until 1858 and later moved to Missouri. He was Commissioner of Revenue for Prince William County from 1840 until 1849 (Deed book 19 & 20 P. William County). From 1851-1855, he lived at Mt Salitude, 303 acres.
