- Larkin Minor (born August 05, 1763; died November 06, 1830). Larkin Minor was born in Virginia and was a soldier in the Revolutionary War; he enlisted in the fall of 1780 and served as a private in Captain Samuel Stribling's company, Col. Samuel Hawes' Virginia regiment and was discharged in January 1782. Shortly thereafter, he married Rachel Brumfield, the daughter of Robert Brumfield, and moved west into Kentucky, first settling in Mercer County and finally in Green County. After Rachel died in 1807, Larkin married Anna Harting Gimlin
