      MORRAH, (MORROUGH), JOHN,
      To Godson Thomas Warden of Barbadoes 1000 pounds of Muscovado sugar which sugar is in the hands of Joseph Warden of Barbadoes father to the said Thomas.
      To Thomas Chitty Jr. 1000 pounds of good sound Tobacco.
      To John Jacob my Broad Cloath Coate and breeches.
      To my good friend Grace Bedford 1000 pounds of sound and good Tobacco.
      Executors my good friends Thomas Chitty Senr and John Bayley and do give the remaining part of my Estate to them.
      The deposition of Mr Dominick Rice aged aboute 33 years or thereabouts Sworn saith That being sent for from my whom (home) to the house of John Jacob I found John Morrah* very Sick and lying on a couch I asked him how he did the said John Morrah gave answer that he was very Ill at wch time Mr John Bayley brought to the said Morrah his will in writing and read the same to ye said Morrah distinctly and deliberately word by word and the said John Bayley asked the said Morrah if he approved of it who answered very well and said he was ready to Signe it and Accordingly endeavoured to rise up and sign the same but was at that time advised to the Contrary by his nurse he being then in a great sweat wch said will to the best of yor deponts memory the very numercial paper now exhibited to this worshipful Court by Mr John Bayley and Mr Thomas Chitty and farther this depont saith not.       KNOW ALL MEN by these prsent.s that 1 WILLIAM PLEW of the County of Rappae: Planter, for & in the behalfe of my Wife, CONSTANT PLEW, have reced of RODERICK JONES of the abovesaid County & place Seven head of Catle and a Mare of three yeares old the such Catle & Mare her Father, RICHARD TAYLOR, gave her in his last Will & Testament & I the said PLEW do acknowledg to have reced the abovesd Catle & Mare but I the sd PLEW am to deliver to SIMON TAYLER, Sonne to the abovesd RICHARD TAYLER, the first male Foale of ye abovesd Mare doth bring to be delivered at nine months old & further more I the sd PLEW doe release the abovesd RODERICK JONES from the above Catle & Mare as Wittness my hand & seale this 16th day of February 1679 Signed Sealed & delivered in prsence of

      - Whereas Mr. JOHN MORRAH did by his last Will and Testamt. record in this Court give and bequeath unto GRACE BEDFORD after marryed to RODERICK JONES one thousand pounds of good tob: and for as much as the said RODERICK JONES brought the action against the Exrs, of the said MORRAH for the Legacie aforesaid and it being proved to this Court that the said GRACE dyed before the Will aforesaid was proved, it was thereupon the opinion of the Court that the said Legacie was not due, the Legatee being dead before the said Will was proved (77)

      and Grant unto the Said Roderick Jones our firm peace w.ch to us
      belongs by reason of the felony aforesaid So that we Will from hence
      forth that the Said Roderick Jones Stand Right in any of our Courts
