      Will of Thomas Walker of the County of Westmoreland in Virginia, being weak of body, dated 26 Jan. 1715 (1716].
      To my son THOMAS 30 acres out of that tract I bought of RICHARD TIDWELL.
      To my son GEORGE 100 acres out of the aforesaid tract.
      To my son George a young horse called Smoaker.
      To my son EDMUND 100 acres out of that tract lieing by Peter Smith and one mare colt.
      To my son SAMUEL 120 acres out of that tract by PETER SMITH's.
      To my loving wife MARY Walker the two Negroes I am now possessed with, with their future increase, and after her decease the Negro man to my son THOMAS and his heirs and the Negro woman to my son George, George paying to my son Edmund 3000 pounds of tobacco in case the Negro woman shall have any increase after my wife's decease, they be equally divided among my daughters.
      My son THOMAS shall pay to my daughter MARGERY 2000 pounds of tobacco when she arrives to the age of 20 yeares.
      To my daughter Anne one shilling sterling money.
      To JOHN WRIGHT (grandson) one ewe lamb.
      To THOMAS WRIGHT (grandson) one ewe lamb.
      To JAMES WALKER (grandson) one ewe lamb.
      To my daughter MARY one flock bed and furniture, a iron pott and a frying pann and one pewter dish and a young heifer two yeares old the next spring. To my daughter ALICE my schue bald mare and one young heifer two yeares old the next spring.
      To my daughter RACHEL one young heifer of two yeares old the next spring and one ewe.
      To my loving wife the plantation I live upon for her natural life with all the stock of cattle, horses, mares, sheep and hoggs. After her decease I give the plantation I now live upon to my son BENJAMIN and his heires.
      To my loving wife all my household goods. My tooles to my three sons GEORGE, EDMUND and SAMUEL to be equally divided.
      To my two sons Samuel and Benja. my pistolls, holsters, sword and rapier.

      THIS INDENTURE made this thirteenth day of June Anne Domini one thousand seven hundred twenty & four Between JOHN RUST and AGNES his Wife of Cople Parish in Westmoreland County of one part and WILLOUGHBY HARRISON & EDMUND WALKER of the aforesaid Parish & County of the other part; Witnesseth that JOHN RUST & AGNES his Wife in consideracon of the sum of five thousand pounds of tobacco to JOHN RUST & AGNES his Wife in hand paid or good security that the same shall be paid by WILLOUGHBY HARRISON and EDMUND WALKER, the receipt whereof JOHN RUST & AGNES his Wife do hereby acknowledge, by these presents do bargain and sell unto WILLOUGHBY HARRISON and EDMUND WALKER all that parcel! of land containing One hundred and twenty acres be the same more or less withal! the appurtenances profitts & comodities to the land belonging, all which parcel of land is scituate upon the Branches of YEOCOMOCO RIVER in Cople Parish in the County aforesaid and bounded, Begining at a small Spanish Oak in the line of GEORGE LAMKIN, standing on the South West side of a Branch that falls into the Main Swamp called the WHITE MARSH, and runing along the sd. Branch its several meanders & watery courses along the land of Mr JEREMIAH RUST to the sd. Main Swamp. from thence up the said Swamp its several meanders and watery courses to the aforesaid line of sd. LAMKIN, from thence along the line of sd LAMKIN to the place it began: one hundred acres part thereof was purchased by JOHN RUST of BENJAMIN RUST by Deed bearing date the 28th of November 1721: the residue part of a tract of land formerly purchased by Mr. SAMUEL RUST & Mr. JOHN CLEMENT, deced, and became the said JOHN RUSTs in the right of AGNES his Wife, party to these presents: one of the Daughters & coheires of sd, CLEMENT, which said Land is part of a Patent formerly granted unto one FRANCIS CLAY; To have and to hold the parcel' of land and premises with appurtenances unto WILLOUGHBY HARRISON & EDMUND WALKER their heires freed and clearly acquitted from all incumbrances: In Witness whereof the parties first above named have hereunto sett their hands & seales the day & year first above written.

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I JOHN RUST of Cople Parish in the County of Westmoreland do owe & stand indebted & am by these presents firmly bounden & obliged unto WILLOUGHBY HARRISON & EDMUND WALKER their heires in the full sum of ten thousand pounds of good lawfull tobacco & cask, to the payment whereof well & truely to be made I bind myself my heires firmly by these presents; Wittness my hand & seal this 13th of June 1724
      THE CONDICON of the above obligacon is such that whereas the above bounden JOHN RUST & AGNES his Wife have sold & made over unto WILLOUGHBY HARRISON & EDMUND WALKER one tract or seat of land containing One hundred and twenty acres be the same more or less by Indenture of bargain and sale; Now it is that if the One hundred and twenty acres be the same more or less should at any time hereafter be taken by any older Patent or to a loss by any meanes that WILLOUGHBY HARRISON and EDMUND WALKER their heires should be put out of possession, and JOHN RUST his heirs shall forthwith pay WILLOUGHBY HARRISON and EDMUND WALKER their heires five thousand pounds of tobacco, that then this obligacon to be void and of none effect, otherwise to stand & remain in full force power & vertue

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we WILLOUGHBY HARRISON & EDMUND WALKER of Cople Parish & County of Westmoreland who stand seized in their demesme of land undivided purchased of one JOHN RUST & AGNES his Wife by Deed bearing date thirteenth day of June Anno Dmi 1724. being & containing One hundred sixty one cares one rood & thirty six perches. It is now to the end a proportional division be had & made between the said parties of & in the land & premisses. It is covenanted & agreed by & between the sd. parties to these presents; First the said WILLOUGHBY is to begin at a marked Maple standing on the a Run called LONG BRANCH & to extend from thence along a line of marked trees North two degrees & thirty minutes West to a small red Oak saplin in the line that divides this land & the land of GEORGE LAMKIN, & the said WILLOUGHBY to have the Westermost part of the said tract for his part, & the said EDMUND WALKER nor his heires shall not from henceforth claim nor demand any right to the possession or to the same or any part thereof but that the said EDMUND & his heires shall at all times hereafter from all accons titles & demands thereto be utterly excluded & for ever debarred by these presents: And EDMUND WALKER to have the East side of the sd. line for his part & WILLOUGHBY HARRISON nor his heires shall not from henceforth claim any right to the possession in the same: In Wittness whereof we have hereunto sett our hands & seals this 23th day

      THIS INDENTURE made this twenty first day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred twenty & five Between FRANCIS SELF of the County of Westmoreld. of one part and EDMUND WALKER of the aforesd. County of the other part: Wittnesseth that FRANCIS SELF in consideration of the sum of three thousand, two hundred and fifty pounds of good sound merchantable tobacco in Cask to him in hand paid by EDMUND WALKER the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, by these presents doth bargain and sell unto EDMUND WALKER his heirs all that two messuages or tenements of land containing by estimation Fourty acres be the same more or less with all their rights members and appurtenances together with all houses orchards profitts and hereditaments belonging; which lands are scituate in Cople Parish in the County aforesd. Twenty five acres part thereof being formerly purchased by FRANCIS SELF of one JOHN HALL and RUTH his Wife by Deed bearing date the twenty fifth day of November one thosuand seven hundred & Eighteen, the residue being fifteen acres being formerly purchased of one JOHN RUST & AGNIS his Wife by Deed bearing date the Sixteenth day of March one thousand seven hundred twenty three, reference to the two former Deeds being had may more at large appear: To have and to hold the messuages and premises with appurtenances unto EDMUND WALKER his heirs; And FRANCIS SELF for himself & his heirs the forty cres of land with appurtenances unto EDMUND WALKER his heirs shall warrant & for over defend by these presents: In Testimony whereof FRANCIS SELF path to this Indenture of Bargain and Sale sett his hand & affixed his seal the day and year first above written

County the 30th day of March 1726 FRANCIS SELF personally acknowledged this Sale of Land by him passed unto EDMUND WALKER to be his proper act & deed, Together with the Livery of Seizin thereon endorsed. And MARY. Wife of the sd.       Morton to Cox Indenture
      This Indenture made the 4th day of January 1796 between James Morton of [Lunenburg] Parish and County of Richmond of the one part and Peter Presley Cox of Cople Parish and County of Westmoreland of the other part. Witnesseth that James Morton in consideration of 170 pounds current money of Virginia in hand has sold unto Peter Presley Cox all that tract of land containing 214 acres lying and joining the lands of Fleet Cox, Mary Plummer, Smith King, John Middleton, deceased, William Lewis, Edmond Walker, then adjoining the land sof the said Peter P. Cox it being in the Parish of Cople and County of Westmoreland. In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
