George Allen of Parish of Hamilton in county of Prince William to Charles McClelland of Overwharton Parish in County of Stafford, planter....William Hackney's grant out of the office of the Proprietors of the North. Neck of Virginia....dated March 11, 1722....for 247 a....on Brent, Town Run....corner of another peice of land of Hackney and John Allen.. part of said 247 a. which lies on north side of Brent Town Run has since by sundry mesne Conveyances come to the George Allen.... 400 lbs. of Tob. consideration. Deed of lease and release.

Tob.... tract on north side of Brent Town Run....line of Thomas Reilley running with line of land bought by Charles McClelland of George Allen to Charles Brents land....near land of Thomas Furr....60 a... being part of tract of 247 a. granted to William Hackney from Proprietors office dated March 11, 1732 and by him conveyed to George Allen and Joseph Allen, which George Allen conveyed this part to James Meean.

      THIS INDENTURE made the twenteth fifth & twentieth sixth day of October in the fourteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Second and in the year of our Lord 1740 Between CHARLES McCLELLAND of St. Pauls Parish in the County of STAFFORD Planter of the one part and ELIZABETH LEWIS of the Parish of Washington in the County of WESTMORELAND Widow & Relict of SURLES LEWIS, the said County of WESTMORELAND decd of the other part. WHEREAS WILLIAM HACKNEY obtained a Grant out of the OFFICE of the PROPRIETORS of the NORTHERN NEC of Virginia hearing date the eleventh day of March one thousand seven hundred & twenty two three for two hundred & forty seven acres of land on BRENT TOWN RUN in the County of. STAFFORD now Prince William bounded Beginning at a corner white Oak of another piece of land of the said HACKNEY & JOHN ALLEN standing by the TOWN RUN on the East side and thence extending along the said land No. Wt. to a post & three whit Oaks in a poison (field near the land of THOMAS FURR thence S. Et. to a white Oak on a point thence No. Et. to a white Oak in a valley thence So. E. to a red Oak in MICHAEL DEL MONTs line thence along the said line S. W. to a large corner white Oak of the sd DERMONTs in a Valley thence So E. to a corner red Oak on a high Ridge thence W, to a whit Oak in a line of the first mentioned land of the said HACKNEY & ALLEN lastly along the said line N E. to the beginning as by said Deed, And WHEREAS all that part of the said two hundred and forty seven acres of land which lyes on both sides of the said BRENT TOWN RUN has since by sundry means come to the said CHARLES McCLELLAND party to these presents Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said CHARLES McCLELLAND for the sum of twenty two pounds Ten shills. Currt, money of Virginia & four thousand pounds of good merchantable tobacco to him paid by the said ELIZABETH LEWIS he dotl hereby grant unto the said ELIZA. LEWIS (in her actual possession now being by virtu of a Bargain and Sale to her for one year in consideration of Five Shillings Sterl. and t force of the Statute for the Transferring of uses into possession) and to her heirs all that parcel of the afsd two hundred & forty seven acres of land which lies on both side of BRENT TOWN RUN afsd in the County of Prince William afd. (excepting one small parcel thereof formerly sold by one GEORGE ALLEN to JAMES MECAN) being the land late in the occupation of said GEORGE ALLEN & whereon he lately dwelt, Together with all Rights In Witness whereof the said CHARLES McCLELLAND hath set his hand & Seal in presence of VAL.
