      Charles County Land Records 1796-1799; Liber IB-2 {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 499. Deed: at the request of William Hanson McPherson, the following deed was recorded February 13th 1799.
      Indenture made February 13, 1799; Ann Mudd relict of James Mudd Jr. and as guardian to her children Elizabeth Mudd, Henry Mudd, Zachariah Mudd and Ann Mudd of CC of one part and William Hanson McPherson of the other part. Whereas William Hanson McPherson filed his bill in the Court of Equity of CC for the conveyance of part of a tract of land called "Bryerwood" against the children of the said James Mudd and the court having decreed that Ann Mudd, guardian to the above children convey unto William Hanson McPherson the said part of a tract of land and in consideration of 93 pounds 8 shillings and 3 pence current money to her in hand paid by William Hanson McPherson does sell part of tract "Bryerwood" containing 79-1/2 acres to him.
