Gray Skipwith, Barrt., sells to Mary Bayley daughter to Robt Bayley, decd., two much cows known by the names of Highorn and Coom. Dated 16th March 1662. Signed Gray Skipwith. SIR WM. SKIPWITH, Knight, sonne heire of Sir Grey Skipwith, Knt., 400 acs., in Middlesex Co., upon Mill Cr. alias Glebe land Cr., 8 Oct. 1672. p. 428. Adj. William Frizell; Mr. Edmd. Kemp, decd., Said land formerly surveyed by Sir Grey Skipwith Knight in his life time & the survey together with Rights for the same returned into the Secretaries Office the 20 Mar. 1665 that patent might thereon issue forth. but the said survey being by casual accident lost in the office, & Wm. Dudley makeing clame to the said land by an after graunt. & the same being brought before the Right Honorble. the Gov't. & Councell by Dame Anne Skipwith. Mother of the sd. Sir Wm., in behalfe of her said sonne, who humbly prayed the Right Honorble. the Gov't. & Councell that they would please to determine in whose right the land lay, and the said Dudley makeing all arguments possible for himselfe, it pleased the Right Honorble. the Gov'r. & Councell, by there order bearing date the 27 of Sept. 1671, to adjudge & declare that the right of the said land is and was in the sd. Sir Wm. Skipwith. &c. And that the said Wm. Dudley should emediately deliver up the possession of the sd. land to the use of sd. Sir Wm.
