      Indenture made August 6, 1779; John Carnes, millwright of Port Tobacco in Charles County, Maryland and Peter Carns, innholder of PGCo in consideration of 550 pounds paid by Balser Hillerigle, cordwainer has sold Lot Number 11 in the Town of Bladensburg originally taken up by Matthew Hopkins and sold by his brother and heir at law to Henry Threlkeld and by him to David Ross and by him sold unto John Carns and Peter Carns and beginning at a stone at the southeast corner of a smith's shop built by Jacob Wirt on part of the lot formerly sold by David Ross to James Kennedy and by him sold to Jacob Wirt.
