Eleanor Ann Hamilton, Will, December 7, 1807; January 21, 1808
I, Eleanor A. Hamilton of CC,being sick and weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding;
To daughter Arthelia Hamilton, negroes, Harry and Caroline Barry, 1 gray mare, 1 bed and furniture.
To daughter Hecatissa Wade, negroes Jim and Suck, 1 gray mare.
To granddaughter Clarinda Burditt Hardy, negro Maria, 1 bed, bedstead and furniture.
Item: It is my will and desire that my daughter Arthelia Hamilton should take care of my granddaughter Clarinda Burditt Hardy, she being afflicted, till her marriage or death.
To son Pliny Hamilton, negro Tom.
To granddaughter Eleonar Ann Hamilton, negro Nelly.
To granddaughter Eleonar Ann Lanham, ½ dozen silver tea spoons and 1 pair silver sugar tongs.
To daughter Julia Lanham, 1 mahogany tea chest.
To daughter Delilah Hamilton, ½ dozen silver table spoons,
Item: the residue of my property equally divided amongst my children and grandchildren, namely; Simpronia Lanham, Julia Lanham, Lucy Dent Hardy, Eleonar Ann Hamilton, Cordelia Wade Hardy, Thomas Dent Hardy & Olivia George Hardy.

-to have servant "Albert" until he arrives to the age of24 and then he is to be free.
-to have the testatrix's pony saddle and bridle

-to have servant "Martha" to serve her until she arrives at the age of 24 and then to be free.
5. Susanna Lanham --niece
-to have 1 bed and fum., 1 dozen tea spoons,S table spoons 1 silver ladle

-testatrix's wearing apparel and bed furniture to be divided between her and sister Delia Hamilton

Sep 2, 1790 from Eleanor Ann Hamilton, Delilah Hamilton, Hecatissa Hamilton, & Julia Hamilton, all of CC, to Colo John Hoskins Stone of CC, for 108 £, all that tract of land in Durham parish in CC called Mountjoy, originally, on May 24, 1764, granted to or taken up by William Be---, bounded by Sissons path on the north side thereof, containing 62-1/2 acres. Eleanor Ann Hamilton, Delilah Hamilton, Hecatissa Hamilton, & Julia Hamilton, during the time that they or their heirs possess and hold in their own right, a tract of land called Woodberry Harbour, lying on Potowmack River in Maryland, whereon sd Eleanor Ann Hamilton now lives, may enter upon sd tract called Mountjoy, and cut and make use of any of the wood on sd tract called Mountjoy for the use of the land called Woodberry Harbour, at their pleasure. Charles County, Maryland Land Records 1813-1814; Liber IB-10 {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 384. At the request of Philip Stuart the following Deed was recorded February 1, 1814
Indenture made November 27, 1813; between Delilah Hamilton, Hecatissa Wade, Richard Lanham and Julia Lanham his wife of one part and Philip Stuart of the other part. Witnessed that whereas Burditt Hamilton late of CC deceased did by his last will and testament dated March 24, 1784 among other devisees make the following to wit, it is my desire and direction that I will and ordain accordingly that after the death of my wife and after all my sons shall be 18 and my daughter shall be 16 yrs old that my two tracts of land "Woodberry's Harbour" and "Mountjoy" be sold and I appoint my wife Elenor Hamilton sole executrix of my will and my daughters Delilah Hamilton, Hecatissa Hamilton and Julia Hamilton as trustees for sailing my said two tracts of land. Now this indenture further witnesseth that Delilah Hamilton, Hecatissa Hamilton and intermarried with Benoni H. Wade and Richard Lanham who intermarried with Julia Harrison by virtue of the power vested in him and for the consideration of $2476.60 current money has sold unto Philip Stuart the aforementioned tracts of land binding on the Potomac River and laid out for 176 acres 3 rods and 24 perches.
