Henry Lyon's Will. May 19, 1778.
I, Henry Lyon of CC, am but indifferent in health at present, but of sound and perfect memory.
To my daughter Elizabeth - 1 Negro girl called Juda and her increase.
To my wife Anna Lyon - all the land I have in possession of his Lordships Manor of Calverton, lying in CC, with the plantation utensils, that is, plows, hoe, harrows, horse, hoggs, sheewep(?), cattle, and Negroes Frank, Bess, Ben, Tony, Ome, Rachel, Fillis, Moses, Luke, Abrin, Daniel, during her natural life, and afterwards, the whole estate to be divided between my 8 children, that is, Mary Moran, James Lyon, Elizabeth Canter, Henry Lyon, John Lyon, Joseph Lyon, Jane Davis, Zachariah Lyon.
Executors: Joseph Lyon and Zacheriah Lyon. I want my executors to keep sd land by paying the value to the other children.

On May 19, 1778, letters testamentary were granted on the estate of Henry Lyon, to Joseph Lyon and Zachariah Lyon, executors of the decd's will.
Securities = Richard Estep and Basil Hicky of CC. Bond = 3000 £
Appraisers: John Moran and Huet Johnson.
Aug 25, 1778, the inventory was received, amounting to 551 £7 shillings 11 pence.

Total: 551 £7 shillings 11 pence.

Henry Lyon's Final Account. Feb 12, 1779.
The account of Joseph Lyon and Zackariah Lyon, executors of Henry Lyon, late of CC, deceased, viz -
Debts include: the inventory of sd deceased's estate, exhibited into Orphan Court on Aug 25, 1778, amounting to 551 £7 shillings 11 pence; a crop of tobacco left by the deceased at the time of his death, it being Nov 29, left unstripped; tobacco received of William Canter. The whole amount: 944 £12 shillings 11.75 pence.
Disbursements went to: Basil Wallace; Benjamin Cawood, collector, for the first assessment and for the second assessment; Walter Hanson, Register, for letters and recording Will and for recording inventory and for stating, passing, and recording this account. Balance to be disposed of according to the deceased's will: 907 £14 shillings 6 pence.
Final Account: 944 £12 shillings 11.75 pence.
