Dec 22, 1788 from David Lindsey Ward of CC, to Henry Barnes, Esq. of CC, for 1000 £sterling money of Great Britain, the tracts hereafter described (except only 100 acres of a tract of land, being part of a tract called Ingerthorp, granted by the sd David Lindsey Ward on Aug 8, 1769 to James Scott and Livianner, his wife, during their natural lives, remainder to David Scott, son of the above named James Scott and Livianner, his wife, and his heirs lawfully begotten, remainder to Zerecia Ward and her heirs forever, as by CC deed dated as above), to wit, part of a tract of land called Ingerthorp and all that tract of land called Ingerstone, both lying in CC, adjoining each other and bounded by the edge of Wards Run, a tract of land called French Lewis, containing and now laid out for about 361 acres. Also, all that tract of land in CC, and adjoining Ingerthorp and Ingerstone, called the Lane Resurveyed, beginning at a stone on a hillside on the south side of a valley at the end of the last line of Wards Lane, then to the 6th line of Franklins Beginning, then to a stone in the woods on the north side of a small branch, the end of the 1st line of a tract of land called Gumba Addition, then to the 2nd line of the Widow Righted, then to the last line of Bretts Beginning, then to the beginning of Wards Lane, containing about 21 acres and 3 roods.
