1763-1767 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber TT [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 598. At the request of Otho Brashears the following Lease was recorded August 11, 1766
Indenture made August 6, 1766; Henry Hall (administrator of Mareen Fowler) late of PGCo, deceased in consideration of the rents and covenants hereafter mentioned hath granted demised and to farm let by these presents unto Otho Brashears part of a tract called "Ridgley's and Tyler's Chance" that belonged to Mareen Fowler and by him mortgage to the said Henry Hall exclusive of the 1/3rd part that is laid out for his widow, containing in the whole 95 acres for and during the term of 7 years commencing from November 10th next until the heir-at-law of the said Mareen Fowler, deceased shall attain the full age of 21 years yielding and paying unto Henry Hall the sum of 6 pounds sterling on November 10th yearly. 1772-1774 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber BB 3 [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 122. At the request of James Mullican the following Deed was recorded November 26, 1772
Indenture made October 2, 1772; Otho Brashears in consideration of 212 pounds 7 shilling sterling paid by James Mullican has sold a tract called "Brashear's Purchase" containing 94-3/8 acres and beginning at a stone standing on a point of a hill on the east side of the main road that leads from Upper Marlborough through the manor towards the Chapel which stone is the 2nd boundary of the part of the manor now called "Landsdale's Purchase" in the possession of Philip Turner and also the 2nd boundary of the part of the manor now called "Anns Purchase" in possession of Ann Brown and bounded by the south side of the main road that leads from Queen Anne through the manor towards Bladensburgh and the 2nd boundary of "Wells Purchase", and the 2nd boundary of part of the manor formerly leased to Joseph Brown which said part is divided into 3 parts and sold by the names of "Anns Purchase", "Wells Purchase" and "Brashears Purchase". Signed Otho Brashears in the presence of and acknowledged before Richard Duckett Jr., Joseph Sprigg and at the same time Mary Brashears w/o Otho Brashears relinquished her right of dower
