At the request of Nathan Thomas the following Deed was recorded March 25, 1816 Indenture made March 12, 1816; Thomas Nathaniel Mudd of Prince Georges County, Maryland in consideration of $519 current money of the United States paid by Nathan Thomas of CC has sold part of a tract called "The Ware" lying in CC whereon John Bruce Thomas erected a stone house and beginning on the west side of the main road containing 3 ½ acres. Signed Thomas N. Mudd in the presence of and acknowledged before Theodore Mudd, John J. Estep March 12, 1816; Hetty L. Mudd wife of Thomas Nathaniel Mudd relinquished her right of dower
