      THIS INDENTURE made this (blank) day of September in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and Eighty six Between JACOB ROUSE and ANNA his Wife of the Parish of BRUMFIELD and County of Culpeper and Colony of Virginia of the one part. and CORNELIOUS CARPENTER of the Parish County and Colony aforesaid of the other part; Witnesseth that JACOB ROUSE and ANNA his Wife in consideration of the sum of Thirty pounds current money of Virginia to him the said JACOB ROUSE by said CORNELIOUS CARPENTER in hand paid; by these presents doth bargain sell and confirm unto CORNELIUS CARPENTER his heirs a parcel of land lying in the Parish and County aforesaid and containing by estimation One hundred acres be the same more or less and bounded; Begining at three red Oaks corner to MATTHIAS WEAVER and runs thence South thirty degrees West one hundred and eighty eight poles to three Pines, corner to said WEAVER, thence South twenty five degrees East sixty three poles to a white Oak and Pine, corner to HENRY CHRISTLER, thence North twenty eight degrees East forty eight poles to three Pines, corner to sd. CHRISTLER, thence North a strait line to three red Oaks, corner to ADAM BAUMGARTNER, thence North sixty five degrees West to the begining, with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging; all the Estate right title and demand of them the said JACOB ROUSE and ANNA his Wife in the premises and the reversions remainders rents issues and profits thereof; To have and to hold the premises aforesaid with the appurtenances to said CORNELIUS CARPENTER his heirs, And JACOB ROUSE and ANNA his Wife for themselves their heirs doth promise and agree to and with CORNELIUS CARPENTER his heirs that CORNELIUS CARPENTER his heirs shall at all times hereafter quietly hold occupy and enjoy the said premises with the appurtenances without the lawfull lett suit or disturbance of said JACOB ROUSE and ANNA his Wife their heirs or any other person whatsoever having or lawfully claiming any right title or interest into or out of the premises and also free and clearly discharged from all bargains sales grants dowers rents and Incumbrances whatsoever, And JACOB ROUSE and ANNA his Wife to said CORNELIUS CARPENTER his heirs against all persons shall warrant and by these presents defend; In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

      THIS INDENTURE made this 21st day of December in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred &Eighty nine Between JACOB ROUSE & ANNA his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part and JOHN SIMPSON of aforesaid County of other part; Witnesseth that for the sum of Fifty pounds current money of Virginia to them the said JACOB ROUSE & ANNA his Wife well & truly in hand paid, have bargained & sold unto JOHN SIMPSON his heirs a certain tract of land containing Forty four acres be the same more or less Begining at three red Oaks in the Old Line, thence with that line North 20 degrees East 113 pole to a white & red Oak in said line, thence South 85 East 58 pole to a red Oak, thence South 16 degrees West 123 to two two Spanish Oaks & red Oak on the Mountain, thence North 75 degrees West 12 pole to a Chesnut Oak, thence to the begining; Together with all Fences water courses orchards & all other appurtenances belonging; To have & to hold the land & premises from all Incumbrances of mortgages dowers & reversions to said JOHN SIMPSON his heirs; As Witness our hands & seals the day & year above written
