I Benjamin Roberson, planter in consideration of 72 pounds 19 shillings and 2 pence current money of Maryland paid by Judson Coolidge & Company, merchant have sold a Bay mare, a black mare, 1 young black horse, 7 cattle, 20 hogs, 3 feather beds and furniture and all the rest of my household furniture and plantation utensils; provided nevertheless that if Benjamin Roberson shall well and truly pay unto Judson Coolidge & company the aforesaid sum of money with legal interest by or upon January 1, 1775 next ensuing then this present bill of sale to be void. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this May 10th 1770, Benjamin Robinson.
