      The Right Honorable Thomas Lord Fairfax Baron of Cameron in that part of Great Britain called Scotland Proprietor of the Northern Neck of Virginia: To all to whom this present writing shall come sends Greeting. Know ye that for good causes for & in consideration of the Composition for my use paid, And for the annual rent hereafter reserved, I have given, granted and confirmed, And by these presents for me, my heirs & assigns, Do give grant & confirm unto PHILEMON WATERS the Younger of Prince William County a certain tract of waste land, Situate in Prince William County on the South branches of Quantico joyning to the lands of PHILEMON WATERS the Elder, Henry Hally & John Ashmore, & bounded according to a survey thereof made by M. John Warner as followed. Beginning at A, an hickory on a path side corner of PHILEMON WATERS the elder, then S. 72 degrees, W 100 poles to B, a white oak and hickory by a branch, North 23 degrees, ?? Fifty four poles to C, a box oak and two red oaks N 5 degrees 100 polls to D, four black oak saplins near Hally?s line, N 50 degrees Seventy two poles to E, two white oaks corner of Henry Hally six poles on the left, then north 40 degrees twenty three poles to F, a box oak & black oak on a knoll, Thence S 60 degrees one hundred seventy one poles to G, four black oak saplins in the line of Ashmore, then along his line S 10 degrees nineteen poles to H a dead red oak his corner mark?t a small red oak, then vith another of his lines, S 40 degrees one hundred & twelve poles to I, a gum corner of Ashmore on the north branch of Quantico, thence S 41.30 degrees ninety two poles to K, a white oak corner of Samuel Jackson & PHLEMON WATERSthe Elder on the East side of a branch of the North branch of Quantico, then by the lines of the said PHILEMON WATERS the elder N 8 degrees W one hundred & two poles to L, a white oak on the East side of the S run of Quantico by a path side, N 43 degrees W ninety one poles to the Beginning. Containing Three Hundred acres, Together with all rights, members & appurtenances thereunto belonging. Royal Mines Excepted, And a full third part of all Lead, Copper, Tinn, Coals, Iron Mines, & Iron ore, that shall be found thereon. To have and to hold, this three hundred acres of Land, together with all rights profits & benefits to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining, Except before Excepted, To him the said PHLEMON WATERS his heirs & assigns forever; He the said PHLEMON WATERS his heirs & assigns, Therefore Yielding & Paying unto me my heirs & assigns or to my certain Attorney, or Attorneys, Agent or Agents, or to the Attorney or Attorneys of my heirs & assigns. Proprietors of the Northern Neck yearly and every year of the feast day of S. Michael the Archangel the fee rent of one shilling sterling for every fifty acres of land hereby granted & so proportionably for a greater or lesser Quantity. Provided that if he the said PHLEMON WATERS, his heirs and assigns shall not pay the before reserved annual rent so that the same or any part thereof shall be behind or unpaid the space of two whole years after the same shall become due if Lawfully demanded. That then it shall & may be lawful for me my heirs & assigns Proprietors of the Northern Neck ?? Their certain Attorney or Attorneys, Agent or Agents into the above granted premises to Reenter & Hold the same so as if this grant had never passed.       Northern Neck Grants
      The Right Honorable Thomas Lord Fairfax Baron of Cameron in that part of Great Britain called Scotland Proprietor of the Northern Neck of Virginia: To all to whom this present writing shall come sends Greeting. Whereas Philemon Waters the Younger of the County of Prince William informed that there were about two hundred acres of Surplus land within the bounds of a Certain tract given him by his Father Philemon Waters the Elder. And having obtained a Warrant to survey the same whereby there was found Two Hundred seventy four acres of Surplus land which He is, Philemon Waters the Younger desiring to have included with his other tract in one deed. Know that for them causes aforesaid for & in consideration of the composition of the aforesaid Two Hundred Seventy four acres of Surplus Land for my use paid, And for the annual rent here after reserved out of the whole being three hundred and nintey six acres, I have given, granted and confirmed, And by these presents, for me my heirs & assigns, Do give, grant & confirm unto the said Philemon Waters the Younger the said Tract of land situated on the South run of Quantico. Joyning the land of Samuel Jackson, bounded according to a Survey thereof made by McGeorge Byrnes followed: Beginning at A, a white oak on the E side of a Branch of the S run of Quantico, viz thought to be the corner of the land of Samuel Jackson, Extending from thence N 80 W one hundred & twenty poles to B, white oak; Thence N 43 W one hundred & fourteen poles to C, a hickory S 72 W one hundred & thirty four poles to D, a white oak on the North side of Quantico to the Land of Samuel or Francis Jackson; thence N 8 E Twenty nine poles to F, a box oak on a small hillside, thence N 5 W Sixty Eight poles to G, another box oak at the head of a Valley; Thence N 15 W one hundred & four poles to H, a black oak saplin on a Ridge, thence N 20 E Forty two poles to I, a white oak on a hillside; thence N 40 E one hundred Eighteen poles to K, a white oak standing on the S side of S run of Quantico, thence crossing the S run & another branch of the run N 12 E Seventy six poles to the beginning. Containing three hundred & ninety six acres, together with all rights, members & appurtenances thereunto belonging. Royal Mines Excepted.       This indenture made the 26th & 27th day of June in the year of our Lord 1748 between Thomas Walters & Elizabeth his wife of the County of Frederick & Philemon Walters & Sarah his wife of the County of Prince William of the one part and Thos. Wood of the County of Stafford of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Thomas Walters & Eliz. his wife & Phill. Walters & Sarah his wife for the sum of Four Thousand pounds of good tobacco have granted unto the said Thomas Wood ( in his actual possession now by a virtue of a Bargain & Sale for one year & by force of the statute for transferring uses into possession) and to his heirs & assigns forever one hundred seventy five acres of land being in Pr. William, being part of a greater tract of land taken up by Philemon Waters Senior and by him conveyed to his son Thomas, party to these presents which patent lies in the Proprietors Office and deeds in the office of Prince William, relation being had which said 175 acres of land is bounded beginning at ( A ) and two box oaks corner trees to the land granted Morrice Lynah on a ridge and extending from thence along that line that devides this from the land of Gabarcle (Gabriel) Muffit, thence along that line south west to the line of the said tract of land which this is a part.------adj. Morrice Lynah. In witness whereof Thomas Walters & Elizabeth his wife, Phill. Waters & Sarah his wife have set their hands & seals in prexence of John Peyton and Charls. Harding.       THIS INDENTURE made the (in Lease Twenty seventh) (in Release Twenty
      eighth) day of January in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and
      Sixty seven Between PHILEMON WATERS and SARAH his Wife of County of
      Prince William of one part and WILLIAM TYLER of County aforesaid of other
      part Witnesseth that for sum of Thirty five pounds current money of Virginia said .
      PHILEMON and SARAH his Wife have sold unto WILLM. TYLER (tn his actual possession
      now being by virtue of a Sale to him made for one whole year and by force of the .
      statute for transferring uses into possession) and his heirs one parcel of land containing
      Thirty acres being part of a greater Track of Land pattented by CHARLES CORNWELL
      and by him sold to WILLIAM LOOE and by WILLM. LOOE sold and conveyed to
      RICHARD WRIGHT and by RICHARD WRIGlff sold to PHILEMON WATERS first party to
      these presents relation being had to the records of Prince William County will more
      fully appear and bounded for the said Thirty acres of land Begining at a forkt red Oak
      by the ROAD side in FRANCIS ASH's line . then vith his line No . Et. to a Spanish and red
      Oak in line of said ASH at B thence leaving his line and runing North Wt. to two black
      Oaks on a Ridge at C thence No . Wt. to a Spanish Oak Sapling by the ROAD at D thence
      So . Et. to the begining and all houses. buildings, orchards, waters and appurtenances
      belonging To have and to hold the lands and all the premises unto WILLIAM TYLER and
