      I, Amelia Slye of CC, being in perfect health of body, and of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding;
      To mother Henrietta Ford, the use of of whole of my personal estate consisting of the following negroes; Clare, Terry, Susan, Gerard, and Dick, together with 1 feather bed and furniture, 1 side board, all cash in hand and all the money that may be due me at the time of my decease and after her death the use to my sister Ann Hall of Alexandria and after her death to her children with this exception; that her daughter Chloe Frances Amelia Hall shall have 200 dollars over and above her equal share.

      I, Henrietta Ford of CC, being sick and weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding;
      To daughter Amelia Slye, 1 bay horse and two feather beds, steads and furniture.
      To granddaughter Mary Henrietta Hall of Alexandria D.C., by bay colt.
      Item: whereas I stand considerably indebted to my son-in-law Robert Hall of Alexandria D.C., for various sums of money advanced to me at different times and whereas I gave the said Robert Hall a bill of sale for sundry negroes and other property to secure his just claims against me, and doubting whether the saild bill of sale was instrument of writing was drawn according to law, I therefore give and devise unto my daughter Ann Hall, wife of Robert Hall, all the rest and residue of my estate. I wish it to be distinctly understood that the side board and mantel clock belongs to my daughter Amelia Slye having been purchased by me for her as compensation for her services and the services of her servants for a number of years past.

      Indenture made November 1, 1814; Henrietta Ford, widow in consideration of the natural affection she has towards her son George Slye and the sum of 5 shillings current money does give a tract whereon she now lives being part of Lapworth Enlarged and containing 244 1/3 acres with the exception of a dwelling house and firewood which Henrietta Ford reserves for her own use during her life and provided also her two daughters now single, to wit, Amelia Slye and Henrietta Slye shall have and enjoy an equal benefit with him the said George Slye of the land and premises aforesaid during their single life.
