Know ye that I THOMAS CHAPMAN & MARGARET my wife of Stafford County .. do for full sum 5000 pounds good Tobo & a cow & calf by us in hand paid reced of WILLIAM ALLEN of the county afsd sell a parcel of land containing 443 acres lying in Stafford County vizt. between Acokeck & Acquia Creeks in the afsd county it being the whole tract of 443 acres formerly granted to me by pattent out of Proprietors office in this Northern Neck of Virga. bearing date 27th day November 1694 beginning at a marked pune corner tree of RALPH WALKERS & extending thence E=22-1/2 degrees N4 to the corner tree of WILLIAM WIGINTON 54 poles it being a red oak thence S22-1/2 degrees along the line of said Wiginton & THOMAS NORMAN 340 poles to a white oak corner tree thence E=22-1/2 degrees N=10 poles to the line of GERRARD MASTERS & WILLIAN WALKER thence S=45 w= along the said line 268 po: to a white oak thence W=22-1/2 N=84 poles to a white oak corner tree of the said Walkers thence N by W along Walkers land 280 poles to a corner white oak finally N=22-1/2 along another line of Walkers to the beginning .. this 3d day July in the year 1706.

RICE HOOE of Stafford County .. have bargained and sold all that parcel of land lying in Stafford County & wills well executed in Court settled in Danl. Field being bounded .. beginning at the mouth of a swamp below the said aloe Mill then down the dam to the mouth of the next large branch on the upper side of the land seated by RALPH WALKER being part of the same land to a small white oak standing in the mouth of that branch so up that branch the several courses along a Iine of marked trees to the forks of that branch then up the South Eastermost fork till it meets with Majr. WM. BUCKNERS line made by the last Jury and stands now recorded on the General Court records then along that line to the land of JOHN WITHERS thence along the land of JOHN KELLY to the land of Rice. Hooe then down that land to the place first began att according to Mr. THOMAS GREGG'S last Survey for me ..

      THIS INDENTURE made the fifteenth day of December 1684 Between ANDREW BUCKNER of STAFFORD COUNTY Gent. of the one part and ABRAHAM KENYON of Rappa: County, Clk., of the other part. Whereas JOHN MOTT and GEORGE MOTT of Rappa. County Gent, and ELIZABETH the Wife of the said GEORGE MOTT did by their Indenture bearing date the thirteenth day of December in the yeare of our Lord God 1672 for the consideration therein mentioned sell all their right to a certaine par- cell of land containing Eleven hundred and seventeen acres being in the County of Rappa: aforesaid on the North side of Rappa: River and in the Freshes thereof being part of a greater devident granted to them by Pattent beginning at the River side and running thence by a line of marked trees up to the head of ye land of Collnll. WILLIAM BALL, North West and by North and then by the sd BALLs land unto the River side and thence by the River side according to several Corners thereof to the first menconed tree by the River to Mr. WM. MOSELEY of Rappa: County To have and enjoy the same unto him the sd WM. MOSELEY his heirs forever as made by the sd recited Indenture now lying upon the Record in the Records of the Court of the County of Rappa: aforesd. relating being had may appeare and being so passed the sd WM. MOSLY and MARTHA his Wife by their Indentures bearing date the second day of September 1673 did for the consideration therein mentioned give sell unto the sd ANDREW BUCKNER his heires all their title and interest unto the before recited parcell of land and prmisses with the appurtenances To have and to hold unto him the sd ANDREW BUCKNER his heires forever as in sd last recorded Indenture remaining likewise upon the County Court records of the County of Rappa: aforesd. relation being had may appeare, and being so passed
      Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the sd ANDREW BUCKNER in consideration of the sum of Forty Five pounds Sterling money of England in hand paid or secured to be paid by ABRAHAM KENYON unto him as also for divers other good causes the sd ANDREW BUCKNER thereunto especially moveing hath granted unto the sd ABRAHAM KENYON his heires all that before recited tract of land containing Eleven hundred and seventeen acres bounded as aforesaid with all its right and also all woods waters paths passages and advantages to the same belonging To have and to hold unto him the sd ABRAHAM KENYON his heires forever at all times hereafter quietly to hold and enjoy withut the lawfull molestation of ANDREW BUCKNER his heires or any other persons whatsoever lawfully claiming any right under him In Witness whereof the sd ANDREW BUCKNER hath set his hand and seal this ninth day of February in the year 1684

      Will of Phillip Buckner
      In the name of God, Amen. I, Philip Buckner, of the County of Stafford, being sick and weak in body, but of perfect and sound memory, blessed be God, do make this my last will and testament, as follows:
      First:--I bequeath my soul to God that gave it; my body to the ground from whence it came. To be buried with decent Christian burial.
      First, I bequeath to Judy Baltrup the mare "Bonny" and her colt and one great feather bed in the loft, and an old gold ring to be kept in her god-father's hands while the day of marriage or comes of age; and two brass kettles, one great and one little one and a copper skillet, one pewter candlestick, the rest are at her brother's and all her mother's wearing clothes in general of what sort soever that shall be found in my custody.
      Second:--I bequeath my two sons, Robert and Andrew, all my land to be equally divided between them, and all the rest of my estate, movable and unmovable. to be equally divided between my two sons aforesaid, Robert and Andrew.
      Thirdly:-I appoint my cousin, William Buckner, at York, to be my Excr., but if he shall refuse, then my cousin, Thomas Buckner.
      Fourthly:-My will is that they take my children down with them and to remove their estates with them if they see fit, but to be sure to take my sons down that they may have learning.
      Fifthly:-My will is that Broard Manne shall live upon my plantation as long as he will.
      Sixthly:-My will is that Edward Manne shall pay Sara Napp, her tobacco that is due to her out of my own house before any probate of this my last will and testament, and do give him, the said Edward Mann, full power to do the same if he shall have occasion. Furthermore my will is, that Sara Napp stay here as long as she pleases, if she doesn't go for England.

      this 9th day of April 1700 .. Know ye for valuable consideration already reced from THOMAS GILSON of Westmoreland County .. have sold tract of land being in aforesaid county containing by estimation 300 acres accruing to me by a Deed of Feoffment from JONAS RIVETT of county Stafford, son and heir of Jonas Rivett late of this county deced the said land being part of a pattenc of 1600 acres granted to GERVAS DODSON the 1st Feby. 1650 the pattent being bounded easterly upon Potomack River southerly upon the mouth of upper Machotick westerly and northerly upon the main woods the said 300 acres being part granted 29th October 1653 and bounded upon the lands pattented by STEPHEN NORMAN south upon the mouth of Machotick River North Easterly upon a small creek which divides it from the rest of the 1000 acres .. Normans pattent which is now in possession of VINCENT YOUNG by an able jury of the neighbourhood & two surveyors GEO. BRENT and WM. HORTON being appointed by the General Court ..
