Page TO ALL XPIAN PEOPLE to whom these presents shall come Know Yee that I SARAH 172a- THORNBY late Widow & Relict of HENRY THORNBY late of Stafford County deced 173a this 22 day of October 1690 & in ye Second yeare of ye Reignes of or Sovereignes Lord & Lady KINGE WILLIAM & QUEEN MARY for ye sume of Three thousand & Foure hundred pounds of Tobacco in Caste paid by GEORGE PROCTOR of ye Countie of RAPPAHANNOCK have sold unto said GEORGE PROCTOR his heires a tract of land in Stafford County containinge two hundred acres formerly purchased by Mr. ROGER PERFYL of Mr. PETER JENNINGS of GLOSTER COUNTY wch said lands for wante of heires Es-cheated to his Majtie of whom ye said lande was purchased by Mr. GEORGE ENGLISH formerly of Stafford County & by ye said GEORGE ENGLISH assigned and made over to Mr. WILLIAM GREENE formerly of Stafford County & by ye said WM. GREENE was sold to my deced Father JOHN GARDINER formerly of Stafford County aforesaid & soe lawfully descended to me ye afore said SARAH ye onley & Sole Daughter of JOHN GARDINER & soe by consequence heir att law to him as by ye Pattent Deeds & conveyances & jury of Ingress will appear The said Tract of land wch was purchased by ye said JOHN GARDINER my aforesaid deced Father of Mr. WILLIAM GREENE of Stafford aforesaid Deced as by Deed dated ye 12th of November 1672 doth more fully appear beinge partly adjoyninge upon ye lands of RICHARD ROSSER Late of Stafford County deced and partly adjoyning upon ye lande wch was in possession of THOMAS FOLIO in PAZBETANZY FORREST wthin the abovesaid County wch Lands as aforesaid was by Major RICHARD HEABEARD sold unto JOHN ROLT as by Bill of Sale ye 11th of November 1688 and from ye said JOHN ROLT sold to ye said Mr. WILLIAM GREENE. In Wittness whereof ye said SARAH THORNBY have sett my hande & seale

Planters have sold a tract of land in PAZBETANZY FORREST in Stafford County containinge one hundred acres of land the said tract of lande beinge part of a Dividend of Seven hundred acres formerly purchased by Mr. ROGER PERFYL of Mr. PETER JENNINGS of GLOSTER COUNTY wch said land for want of heires escheated to his Majtie of whom ye lande was purchased by Mr. GEORGE ENGLISH & by the said Mr, GEORGE ENGLISH sold unto Major RICHARD HEABEARD formerly of Stafford County and by the said MAJOR HEABEARD assigned to one JOHN ROLT & by the said JOHN ROLT made over to ye said HEABEARD againe & lastley by ye said HEABEARD was sold & made over to my deced Father JOHN GARDINER formerly of Stafford County by a good & authentick Deed dated ye fifth day of October 1671 and so rightfully & lawfully descended to me on beinge the sole Daughter & heire of ye aforesaid JOHN GARDlNER beinge part of ye Dividend aforesaid & scituate in PAZBETANZY afore-said & adjoyninge to ye land that was in occupacon of RICHARD ROSCER late of this County deced as also bounded wth a tract of land sold by ye said SARAH THORNBY unto GEORGE PROCTOR by Deed beareinge date wth these presents.
