      Indenture made March 26, 1752 between the Honorable Benedict Calvert, Esq of the City of Annapolis of one part and Thomas Tayor of PGCo, farmer on the other part. Witnesseth that Benedict Calvert, Esq in consideration of 5 shillings sterling paid by Thomas Taylor as also for and in consideration of the rents and convenants hereafter hath farm let by these presents part of a tract called "His Lordships Kindness" containing 106 acres beginning near one of the drafts of the Mill Branch and in the last line of a parcel of land laid out for Robert Dewit. To have and to hold during the natural lives of Thomas Taylor, Rose Taylor his wife, and James Taylor his son, paying yearly the rent of 1 pound 10 shilling sterling and two capons at the feast of nativity.       Maryland Sct; you Thomas Taylor, Benjamin Talburt and Edward Burch do confess judgment to Alexander Symmer and Andrew Symmer for the sum of 18 pounds 1 shilling currency and 216-3/4 pounds of tobacco which sums was recovered against Thomas Taylor on the 4th Tuesday in June Court last the said sums of money and tobacco to be levied of your body, goods, chattles, lands or tenements for the use of Alexander Symmer and Andrew Symmer in case Thomas Taylor shall not pay and satisfy them on February 10th next.       Memorandum that on the special petition of George Naylor preferred to the justices of Prince George’s County, Maryland on the 4th Tuesday in March in the 11th year of his Lordship commission the Right Hon. the Lord Proprietary Dominion etc., his Lordship commission issued by order of the justices aforesaid out of the county aforesaid on April 15, 1761. In these words following, Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore vizt; to Messrs. Samuel Roundell, Benjamin Brooke, William Eversfield and Richard Estep of PGCo Gentleman, whereas George Naylor, is seized of a tract called “Stoke” and preferred his petition in writing to our county court held at Upper Marlbro Town to examine evidence to prove and perpetuate the memory of the bounds of the said tract of land. Therefore, we command you any three or two of you to examine all witnesses or persons concerned touching their knowledge of the bounds of the said tract.       Robert Baden aged 69 or thereabouts declares that the white oak tree that Thomas Wall this day to be the 2nd bounded tree of the aforesaid land is the 1st bound tree of “Sarum” by resurvey and further says that a place is where now is fixed a stone stood a black oak tree is 3rd bound tree of “Stoke”.       Thomas Williams aged 35 years or thereabouts declares that about 8 years ago Joseph Carroll deceased told him that a bounded white oak tree standing near the road of a Pocoson that leads into Mattawoman Branch was the 2nd bound tree of the said Wall and further says that about 5 years ago he heard Thomas Lawson deceased say that in the place lately in the possession of Robert Baden where is now placed a stone was a bound tree of the aforesaid land and further sayeth not.       Indenture made September 2, 1778; Thomas Taylor of Virginia in consideration of 76 pounds current money of Maryland paid by John Lawson Naylor of PGCo has sold part of a tract called "Little Groves" containing 30 acres and lying on the west side of Patuxent River. The remaining 61 acres of said tract was willed to John Taylor and James Taylor {by John Taylor d. 1738 PGCo}.
