      THIS INDENTURE made this thirteenth day of July in the year of our Lord 1777 Between ROBERT WASHINGTON of Saint Pauls Parish and king George County, Gent., and ALICE his Wife, and LAURANCE WASHINGTON the Younger of sd. County and CATHARINE his Wife of one part and LUND WASHINGTON of FAIRFAX County in the Commonwealth, Gent., of other part, Witnesseth that ROBERT WASHINGTON and ALICE his Wife and LAURANCE WASHINGTON and CATHARINE his Wife for sum of one thousand and two hundred pounds of lawful money of Virginia to them the said LAURANCE WASHINGTON and ROBERT WASHINGTON in hand paid by LUND WASHINGTON doth bargain and sell utno LUND WASHINGTON his heirs all the Plantation and tract of land whereon MRS. ELIZABETH WASHINGTON, Mother of said ROBERT, LUND & LAURANCE lately lived and died, situate in Saint Pauls Parish and County of King George and containing by estimation Six hundred acres; To have and to hold the plantation and tract of land with all the premises unto LUND WASHINGTON his heirs and ROBERT WASHINGTON and LAURANCE WASHINGTON their respective heirs or any person claiming under them the plantation and tract of land unto LUND WASHINGTON his heirs against every person shall warrant and forever defend; In Testimony whereof the said ROBERT WASHINGTON and ALICE his said Wife, the said LAURANCE WASHINGTON and CATHARINE his Wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day & year first above written Sealed and Delivered in presence of

      I, William Harrison of CC, but at present in Virginia in the Town of Alexandria, am of sound & disposing mind & memory.
      To my son William Dent Harrison - all my real estate.
      To my daughters Ann Warren Harrison and Rebecca Harrison - to each, 500 £current money, besides what is hereafter given her, which sum is to be put out at interest by my executors & paid unto my sd daughter when she arrives at the age of 18 years or day of marriage. The interest arising is to be made use of for her education & maintenance,
      To my wife Ann Harrison - one third of my real estate during her life, and one third of the rest of my personal estate.
      To my son William and to my daughters, Ann Warren Harrison and Rebecca Harrison - the rest of my personal estate, to be equally divided between them.
      Executors: my brother Robert Hanson Harrison, & my friend Warren Dent. I also want my executors afd to care for education & virtuous bringing up of my 3 children afd. Signed Mar 15, 1786 - Will. Harrison, Wit - R,T, Hooe, Ri.cd W, Ashton, L. Washington Jr.
      Probated Nov 28, 1789 by Richard Watts Ashton (of King George County, Virginia, formerly of the City of Alexandria), one of the witnesses, and that the testator, when he signed the will was of sound mind, and that he, with Robert Townshend Hooe (of the City of Alexandria in Virginia) & Lun Washington Jr (of Fairfax County, Virginia), the other two witnesses, signed their names to the will.
      CC. Nov 28, 1794. Then came Col. Robert Hanson Harrison & Warren Dent, executors of the will of Col. William Harrison, late of CC, decd, & severally made oath that the foregoing instrument of writing is the true & whole will,
      CC. Dec 8, 1789. Then came Lund Washington Jr (of Fairfax County, Virginia), one of the witnesses, and made oath that he saw the testator sign and seal the will.
      First Codicil - Whereas I, William Harrison of CC, have made and executed my will dated Mar 15, 1786, and since then, my daughter Grace has been born. I want her to have part of my estate. 1 therefore make this, my codicil.
      To my daughter Grace - all the negroes & their increase, which belonged to my wife Ann, her mother, at the time of our marriage, including also those which she is entitled to of the estate of her decd sister, Mary C. Jordan.
      To my wife Ann - any riding carriage & pair of horses.
      To my niece Virlinda Harrison - 100 £current money, the interest of which to be paid her annually & the principal (at the age of 21 or day of marriage).
      Executors: my brother Robert Hanson Harrison and my friend Warren Dent.

      Probated Feb 28, 1789 by Col. Robert Hanson Harrison & Warren Dent, the executors, and by the oaths of witnesses George Dent, Nicholas Peers, & Joseph White Harrison.
      Second Codicil - Whereas I, William Harrison of CC, have made and executed my will dated Mar 15, 1786, and also afterwards made a codicil thereto, dated Jul 8, 1788, I now devise that whereas my wife Ann has since then become pregnant or big with child, & there being no provision made for sd child when horn, now I give sd child, if a son, the following tracts of land, to wit, one tract of land called Amsterdam, one other tract of land called Britts adventure, & part of one other tract of land called Verlinda, in fee simple. But if sd child before he turns 21 years old & without lawful issue, then the afd lands to my son William Dent Harrison, in fee simple. But if the child is a daughter, then I give her the following Negroes, to wit, Tom & Chandler (they being the 2 Negro boys which I received of the estate of Mary Jordan, in right of my wife) & Jude & Moll (daughters of a Negro woman called Lame Betty) & their increase, and also 200 £current money, which 200 £to be deducted from the legacies given to my 2 daughters, Ann Warren & Rebecca, by my Will. I want the 200 £to be placed out at interest by my executors, and paid to her, together with the interest, when she turns age 16 years or day of marriage; or, at their discretion, my executors may apply the interest towards educating & maintaining sd daughter. If this child is stillborn or dies without leaving issue, then I direct that every devise in the 2nd codicil, will be null and void.
