1763-1767 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber TT [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 383. At the request of Thomas Cramphin the following Mortgage was recorded April 13, 1765
Indenture made April 6, 1765; James Hoskinson, planter in consideration of 32 pounds 7 shillings and 7 pence over currency paid by Thomas Cramphin has sold a tract called "Barbados" containing 140 acres and beginning at two bounded black oaks and two bounded poplar trees standing on the west side of the northern branch of the Eastern Branch of Potomack River; provided that if James Hoskinson shall well and truly pay unto Thomas Cramphin the aforesaid sum of money with legal interest then this deed to be void and of none effect. Signed James Hoskinson in the presence of and acknowledged before Joshua Beall, Christopher Lowndes and at the same time Elizabeth Hoskinson w/o James Hoskinson relinquished her right of dower

1763-1767 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber TT [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 675. At the request of James Hoskinson the following Deed was recorded February 18, 1767
Indenture made February 18, 1767; between Thomas Cramphin of one part and James Hoskinson of the other part. Whereas James Hoskinson by his deed bearing date April 6, 1765 sold unto Thomas Crampton all that tract called "Barbados" containing 140 acres and beginning at two bounded black oaks and two bounded poplar trees standing on the west side of the northern branch of the Eastern Branch of Potomack River and the said James Hoskinson has paid to Thomas Cramphin the principal and interest due and mentioned in the said proviso amounting into the sum of 36 pounds 10 shillings and 5 pence currency. Now this indenture witnesseth that Thomas Cramphin in consideration the premises and the sum of 1 shilling has sold and released released unto James Hoskinson all the above tract of land. Signed Thomas Cramphin in the presence of and acknowledged before Joshua Beall, Christopher Lowndes and at the same time Elizabeth Cramphin wife of Thomas Cramphin relinquished her right of dower
