Will of Martin Nalle of Culpeper Co. Dated 9 March, 1783. Proven 15 Sept., 1788.
Legatees: Wife Isabell Nalle.
Sons: William Nalle, Martin Nalle.
Daus.: Ann Nalle, Rachel Nalle, Clary Nalle, Winny Nalle, Milly Nalle.
Granddau. Catey Parks, one-eighth of estate. If granddau. should die without heirs her part return to Mary Holloday's other children.
Executors: Wife Isabelle Nalle, son William Nalle, son Martin Nalle, son-in-law Humphrey Sparks.
Codicil: "To John Sanders part willed to his late wife, Winifred, for the use of his children by my daughter Winny." Dated 9 March, 1783.
Wit.: (same to will and codicil) Richard Parks, William Purvis, John Tutt.
(Note: It is possible that others or all of his daughters were married as he mentioned them only by their Christian name and this compiler inserted the name "Nalle" for facility in indexing. DFW).

To my beloved wife Mary Nail a Negro man Bristoll during her natural life.
To my beloved son John NauI ten acres of my land and the remainer part to my beloved son Martin Naul.
All the remainer part of my estate, equally among my eight children, only my wife to have an equal part of the personal estate for her life, and the eight head, of cattle lent to my son John and my daughter Winnifret to be in part of their portion.
My beloved wife and my cousin Thomas Burke and Thos. Dillard executors.

THIS INDENTURE made the 8th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fourty foure Between MARTIN NALLE of the County of ORANGE and Parish of ST. MARKs of the one part and THOMAS BURKE of the County of Essex and Parish of SOUTH FARNHAM of the other part; Witnesseth that the said MARTIN NALLE for the sum of Six pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid have granted unto him the said THOMAS BURKE his heirs and assigns forever all the right and Estate to a certain parcel! of Land being in the aforesaid County of Essex and Parish of SOUTHFARNHAM containing Fifty five acres more or less, the said Lands being part of a tract formerly belonging to JAMES BOUGHAN of the County of Essex and convey'd by the said BOUGHAN to the said MARTIN NALLE as by his Deed it doth appear. And all houses buildings ways and appurtenances to the same belonging. To have and to hold the said Land and premisses unto the said THOMAS BURKE and to his heirs and assigns forever to be held of our Sovereign Lord the King his heirs and Successors by the Quit rents accustomed, And do warrant the same from me the said MARTIN NALLE my heirs or any other persons claiming under me. In Witness whereof I the said MARTIN NALLE have hereunto sett my hand and affixed my seal

This Indenture made 19th March 1768 between MARY DUNN Widow and Relict of SAMUEL DUNN [Donne] deceast late of King George County and MARTIN NALLE and JOHN STROTHER Gent Church Wardens of Brumfield Parish in Culpeper County .. in consideration of Four pounds current money of Virginia hath granted unto Martin Nalle and John Strother and their successors in office for the time being for the use and benefit of BRUMFIELD PARISH one certain parcell of land containing two acres in Brumfield Parish in the fork between Hazel River and Hughes River branches of Rappahannock River and the said two acres is bounded beginning at two white oaks on a Ridge near to ISAAC NORMAN's Spring and runs thence East .. That she the said Mary Dunn at the time of sealing and deliverying of these presents is and stands seized by her deceased her Husband's last Will and Testament ..
