      -This Indenture made the fifth day of October in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and thirty Between ROWLAND THOMAS of Drysdale in the County of King and Queen in Virginia planter of the one part and ROBERT TURNER of the parish of St. George in Spotsylvania County planter of the other part. Witnesseth that the said ROWLAND THOMAS for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings of Lawfull money to him in hand paid by the said ROWLAND THOMAS the receipt thereof the said ROWLAND THOMAS doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part thereof doth hereby acquit and discharge him the said ROBERT his Exrs. and Admrs. hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said ROBERT TURNER his heirs Executors Admrs. &c. one tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres be the same more or less which said land being part of one thousand acres granted to the said ROWLAND THOMAS by a pattent bearing date the sixteenth day of June one thousand seven hundred and twenty seven lieing and being in Spotsylvania County and bounded as followeth Viz. Beginning at CHRISTOPHER SMITH's corner black gum white oak and maple on the north side the Northanna runing along his line north eight two west one hundred and sixteen poles to a beach and hiccory on Wolf Swamp thence down the swamp to a mouth thereof in the Northanna thence down the Northanna to the Beginning and also all Messuages Tenement houses out houses tobacco houses barns stables edifices buildings thereon standing or being together with all orchards gardens ways water water courses easements profits priveledges commodities and advantages whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and reversion and reversions remainder and remainders thereof and of every part and parcel thereof together with all rents and services reserves upon all or any Lease or Leases of the premises or any part or parcel thereof To have and to hold the said Land and buildings and all and singular other the premises herein before mentioned and hereby intended to be bargained and sold with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said ROBERT TURNER his Exrs. Admrs. and assigns from the day of the date hereof for and during the full end and term of six months thence next ensuing and fully to be compleated and ended to the end that by virtue of these presents and of the Statute for Transferring uses into possessions the said ROBERT TURNER may be in actual possession of the premises and be enabled to take and accept of a grant and release of the same to him the said ROBERT TURNER his heirs and assigns forever. In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents Interchangeably have set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
