Leg. son John, five hundred acres of land in the Parish of St. John, in the Co. of King William, also 400 acres of land in Spotsylvania Co., surveyed by Nathaniel Claybourn, Surveyor, and patented in my own name Sept. 28, 1730; grandson, Pomfrett Waller; son, Thomas Waller, the land bought of Majr. William Todd, in Spotsylvania Co. adjoining the lands of Zachary Lewis, Majr. Rice Curtis, Mr. Vass, William Bradburn and Mr. Stubblefield; grandson John Waller, son of Thomas Waller; granddaughter Dorothy Quarles, daughter of my son Thomas Waller; son, William Waller, 400 acres patented in my name Feb. 21, 1726, now in Spotsylvania Co., formerly in King William Co. adjoining the lands of Zachary Lewis, and after my wife's death, all that tract of land I bought of Majr. Philip Todd, in Spotsylvania, Co., patented in my own name June 3, 1726, adjoining the land I live on, and Mr. Coleman's and Mr. Shackleford's; grandson, William Waller, son of William Waller; grandson, John Waller, son of William Waller; son, Benjamin Waller; son, Edmund Waller; grandson, John Waller, son of Edmund Waller; grandson, Benjamin, son of Edmund Waller; grandson, William Edmund Waller, son of Edmund Waller; granddaughter, Mary Waller daughter of Edmund Waller; daughter, Mary Waller, now the wife of Zachary Lewis; granddaughter, Betty Lewis; granddaughter, Lucy Lewis; granddaughter, Dorothy Lewis; grandson, Waller Lewis; great-grandson, John Zachary Lewis; grandson, John Lewis, my secretare that i left at Mrs. Margaret Gordon's, in the room I used to lie in when there. Unto all the rest of my grandchildren, except my granddaughter, Mary Meriwether, and except those above mentioned, as I have given young negroes apiece in this my will, twenty shillings, to be paid six months after my decease. Wife, Dorothy. To son, William Waller, and grandson, John Waller, son of Edmund Waller, all the residue of my tract of 1,000 acres of land that I took up in my son John's name Sept. 28, 1728, and by him conveyed to me.
Codicil to the foregoing will, dated Aug. 15, 1754, with John Minor and John Sams as witnesses, revokes the clause devising to his son, William Waller, and his grandson, John, son of Edmund Waller, the residue of land patented Sept. 28, 1728, in the name of his son, John, and devises the said land to Leonard James Mourning Waller, son of Edmund Waller. The tract of land I bought of John Champe, Gentl. whereon the widow Parish lives, lying in this county, and the land I bought of Nicholas Horn in Caroline Co. to be sold, and my executors to make what use they can of Nicholas Horn's mortgage to me, if his land sold me falls short in raising what money I must pay for him to Col. Whereas by deed dated 14 February 1725, between my late husband Col. Thomas Jones decd, and myself by the name of Elizabeth Pratt, and John Holloway Esq., and William Robertson, gent., recorded in the General Court, and by my late husbands will to dispose of two thousand pounds sterling, I now bequeath the money as follows:
Son Thomas Jones-five hundred pounds sterling.
Son Frederick Jones-two hundred pounds sterling.
Son William Jones-two hundred pounds sterling.
Son Walter Jones-four hundred pounds sterling.
Son Thomas-out of the money given him to give to my daughter Dorothea Jones ten pounds.
Daughter Lucy Smith-two hundred pounds sterling.
Daughter Anne Burwell-two hundred pounds sterling.
Daughter Elizabeth Jones-two hundred pounds sterling.
To Elizabeth Jones, daughter to my son Thomas Jones-fifty pounds sterling to purchase a negro girl for her
To Elizabeth Smith, daughter of John and Lucy Smith-fifty pounds sterling the residue of the sum of two thousand pounds sterling, to purchase a negro girl for her.
Money given to my two youngest children Walter and Elizabeth Jones be put out to interest by my executors till he arrives at the age of twenty one years and she to the age of eighteen years or marriage; if either should die before they attain age the money to be equally divided between Thomas Jones, Frederick Jones, William Jones, Lucy Smith, Ann Burwell, and Walter Jones, or Elizabeth Jones, which ever is the survivor.
My late husband by his will directed that the residue of his estate be divided among our eight children equally, our eldest son Thomas Jones to have first choice as his birthright. If the other children should object to him having first choice, I hereby revoke the legacies I have given them.
Whereas the estate of my son in law John Smith is entailed, and the I have good opinion of him towards his wife and children, the money 1 have given to my daughter Lucy Smith shall be for the separate use of her and her younger children not subject to the disposal or management of her husband.
Son Thomas Jones-out of the money given him to give Miss Martha Waller, daughter of Mr. Benjamin Waller, a ring of the value of three pounds.

CODICIL: December 28, 1761
Whereas I have sent to London and Bristol for goods since the death of Mr. Jones upon my own account, all the goods I have from England since Mr. Jones death (except the bale of negro cloathing which came from Mr. Knox of Bristol in the
year 1761, the said bale I would have sold in order to discharge the debt I owe him, also except those in two new hair trunks marked by me William, Walter, and Elizabeth Jones) be divided between my son Thomas Jones, and my daughter Lucy Smith, I also give to Lucy Smith my riding chair which I purchased of Thomson's estate.
Son in law James Burwell-my two chair horses, one called Suffork and the other Sudberry. I have a negro slave in my possession named Louisa, belonging to my son Walter Jones, and that he be allowed six pounds current money of Virginia per annum from 1 May 1758, so long as I shall have the negro in my possession. I have also taken for my use two horses belonging to my son Walter, one named Bolton, and the other Rowland, and one mare called Fancy, and for use of said horses I allow him eighteen pounds, the money both for the horse and wench be layed out in such books as may be used by him in whatever business he may profess. At my decease negro wench Louisa to be sold, and the money to be put to interest for my son Walter.

Daughter Lucy Smith-a looking glass and a Huckaback tablecloath, half worn.
All my wearing apparrell contained in the drawers to my daughter Dorothea Jones-except my Poplin gown which I give to my daughter Anne Burwell.
I give to each of my children ten pounds to purchase mourning. Plantation in Northumberland County which I purchased of James Knott be disposed of by my executors.
