To brother John forty shillings to dispossesses him from any right of property of my estate forever, for his treatment to me by endeavoring to dispossess me and all the other brethren and sisters, from their rights. (Sisters not mentioned)

THIS INDENTURE made the twelfth day of September in the twenty eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign, Lord George the Second, by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith, &c., and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty four; Between JAMES BALEY of the Parish of Cople and County of Westmorland of one part and JOHN BALEY, Son of ye said JAMES BAILEY, of the Parish and County aforesaid of other part; Witnesseth that ye said JAMES BAILEY as well in consideration of the natural love and affection as in consideration of the rents and covenants herein after reserved and mentioned on ye part of JOHN BALEY to be paid done and performed, hath and by these presents doth demise lease and to farm let unto JOHN BAILEY during the natural life of ye said JAMES BAILEY all that tract of land containing fifty acres be the same more or less which JAMES BAILEY purchased of JOHN GOREHAM, Beginning at a line of JAMES BALEY, JUNR.'s on ye Main Road leading from CROSS TAVERN RUN and along the Rode unto a line of GEORGE HABRON's deceased, and along the said line untill it comes to the Swamp between ye said JAMES BALEY and GEORGE HABRON, deceased, and up ye said Swamp to the first line and along the said line to the first beginning; To have and to hold the tract of land with appurtenances unto JOHN BALEY during the life of JAMES BALEY, paying therefore every year during the life of JAMES BAILEY unto JAMES BAILEY his heirs the sum of fifty pounds of tobacco and ye Quitrents upon the twenty fifth day of December in every year; In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have interchangeably set their hands and seals ye day and year first above written
