      Will of William Pollard in the parish of St. Thomas and of the County of Orange, being very sick and weak in body, dated 13 July 1746.
      Unto my beloved friend Joseph Hawkins one tract of land containing 250 acres on the Beverdam River and bounding one pattent granted to Samuel Smith.
      Unto my eldest son Joseph Pollard one tract which I purchased of Anthony Gholdson containing 120 acres.
      All the rest of my estate be equally divided among the rest of my children, viz. Sarah Pollard, William Pollard and one not yet born.
      My beloved wife Elizabeth Pollard shall enjoy all my estate excepting that tract given to Joseph Hawkins dureing the time of her widdowhood, but if she shall alter her state of life by marriage she shall enjoy only one third part of that tract given to my son Joseph.
      If my wife should marry my children should [be] paid their parts when they shall arrive to age.
      My well beloved wife Elizabeth executrix.
