      Daniel Harrison's Will
      In the Name of God Amen, I Daniel Harrison of Westmoreland being very sick and weak of body but of perfect sence and memory do make this my last will and testament.
      Item I give my land to my son William Lewis Harrison and to his heirs and if he should die without heir, my son Willougby Harrison shall have the land;
      My will is that my wife Eleanor Harrison shall have the use of all my land if she will raise my children till my son William Lewis Harrison shall arrive to the age of 21 years;
      I give to my son William Lewis Harrison the feather bed and furniture he usually lays on.
      My will is that all my children have one years schooling out of my estate and the remainder of my estate to be equally divided between my loving wife and my five children, William Lewis Harrison, Sally Harrison, Willoughby Harrison, Daniel Harrison and James Harrison.
      I appoint my loving wife Eleanor Harrison and my brother Joshua Harrison my whole and sole executors of this my last will and testament by me made this 12th day of July 1774. Signed sealed and acknowledged in the presents of

      At a court held for Westmoreland County the 26the day of March 1782, this will was proved according to law by the oaths of Elizabeth Williams a witness thereto and the same having been before proved in March 1776 by the oaths of Samuel Harrison and Jeremiah Harrison the other witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded; and on the motion of Eleanor Harrison the executrix therein named who made oath thereto according to law and together with Stewart Redman her security entered into and acknowledgd bond with condition as the law directs, certificate is granted her for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.

      IN THE NAME OF GOD, Amen, I WILLOUGHBY HARRISON of Westmorland County being sich and weak of body tho in perfect sence and memory thanks be to God for the same, and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life thought fitt to make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as followeth, First being sorry for all my sins most humbly praying to Almighty God for forgiveness of ye same, I committ my Sole to God my heavenly Father hopeing by the merits of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, to receive it again at the last day of my rezerection and my body to ye Earth to be buryed at ye discetion of my Executors hereafter mentioned;
      Item. I give and bequeath to my Eldest Son, SAMUEL HARRISON, the Plantation I now live on wth: all ye land belonging to it, it being the land I bought of JOHN RUST, to him & to his heirs for ever; And if my Son, SAMUEL HARRISON, should dey without heir of his body, then the said Land to descend to my Son, JOSHWAY HARRISON& his heirs for ever, and for ye want of such heirs to descend to my Son, DANL: HARRISON, & his heirs for ever; And for the want of such heirs to descend to my Dafter, DARCAS HARRISON, & her heirs for ever;
      Item. I give to my Son, SAMUEL HARRISON, the feather bed he usly lyes on and one iron pott and a Cow and Calf;
      Item. I give to my Son, DANL: HARRISON, my Old Plantation, it being the land my Father gave me to him & his heirs for ever, and if this my Son, DANL. HARRISON should dey without heirs of his body, I give ye said land to my Son, JOSHWAY HARRISON, and his heirs for ever, and if my two Sons, DANL. and JOSHWAY HARRISON should dey without heirs of their bodys, then ye said Land to descend to my Son, SAML. HARRISON, & his heirs for ever; and for ye want of such heirs then to descend to my Dafter, DARCEAS HARRISON, and her heirs for ever;
      Item. I give to my Son, DANL. HARRISON, the feather bead he usly lies on and the Horse called Toppin, and one iron pott and frying pan and my Horse Colt caled Jack.
      Item. I give to my Son, JASHWAY HARRISON, my Still and all its furniture & a young Horse called Fox & my Gun and Sword & all my waring apparel and ye best bed and furniture I have in my house & all my Coopers Tools;
      Item. I give to my Dafter, DARCAS HARRISON, my young Horse Colt called Sesen, and a feather bed she usly lyes on & my largest Pewter Dish & Warming Pan and a small Trunk.
      item. I give to my Dafter, ELIZABETH BALEY, one Cow.
      Item. My Will and desier is that my Son, WILLOUGHBY HARRISON, keep & enjoy what I have already given him without interruption, it being what I intended for his part as a Legacy until the residue be divided and then to have eaqull part with his Brothers & Sisters of ye remainder;
      Item. Further my will and desire is that the Crop of tobacco now in my House be equally divided between my Sons, SAMUEL HARRISON, DANL. HARRISON, JASHWAY HARRISON and my Dafter, DARCAS HARRISON, my Corn and Meat not to bee appraised.
      Item. I give all my goods and chattles that I have not all ready given away after my just debts and funerell charges is paid to be eaqule divided between my four Sons and two Dafters, vizt., SAMUEL HARRISON, WILLOUGHBY HARRISON, DANIEL HARRISON, JASHAWAY HARRISON, ELIZA: BALEY and DARCAS HARRISON.
      Item. I also appoint my two Sons, SAML. HARRISON & DANL. HARRISON Executors of this my Last Will and Testament, revoking all other Wills before made by me. In Witness whareof I have set my hand and seale this 12th day of Janery

      We Samuel Harrison and Daniel Harrison of the parish of Cople and county of Westmoreland of our own free will natural love and affection and for other good and sufficient causes as thereunto moving have given unto our brother Joshua Harrison for and during the term and space of his natural life 32 acres of land lying in the said parish and county aforesaid being part of the tracts of land we now live on and bounded as follows, vizt; beginning at a chesnut stump in the line of Samuel Harrison thence along his line South 50° East 169 poles to the land of James Self thence North 18° West 80 poles to a cedar standing in the old field thence North 40° West 36 poles to a cherry tree standing near the tobacco house thence North 92° West 84 poles to the beginning. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this 30th day of March 1758.
