      1772-1774 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber BB 3 [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 339. At the request of Mary Williams & Amelia Berry the following Deed was recorded December 20, 1773
      Indenture made September 6, 1773; between Joseph Sprigg, Gentleman eldest son and heir of Osborn Sprigg, deceased and Thomas Williams, Gentleman eldest son and heir of Thomas Williams, deceased who was the eldest son and heir of Thomas Williams, deceased of one part and Mary Williams wife of Thomas Owen Williams and Amelia Berry daughters of Jeremiah Berry, deceased of the other part. Whereas Benjamin Berry, deceased by his indenture bearing date July 22, 1747 did sell unto Osborn Sprigg and Thomas Williams, the grandfather, the following tracts of land, viz.; "Long Lane" containing 77 acres, "Berry's Grove" containing 70 acres and "Berry's Fancy" containing 230 acres upon condition that if Benjamin Berry Berry should well and truly pay unto Osborn Sprigg and Thomas Williams, the grandfather the full and just sum of 50 pounds 15 shillings sterling with legal interest at or upon May 1, 1748 then this indenture to cease and be utterly void and whereas May 1, 1748 has ellapsed and Benjamin Berry is dead without having redeemed the mortgage or in any sort complied with the condition aforesaid and the said Jeremiah Berry, deceased in his lifetime having paid and satisfied the legal representatives of Osborn Sprigg and Thomas Williams, the grandfather the mortgage money with legal interest by his testament and last will devised the several parcels to his daughters the aforesaid Mary Berry and Amelia Berry. Now this indenture witnesseth that Joseph Sprigg and Thomas Williams in consideration of the premises and of 5 shillings sterling money paid by Mary Williams and Amelia Berry has confirmed unto them the aforesaid tracts of land. Signed Joseph Sprigg, Thomas Williams in the presence of and acknowledged before Joshua Beall, Jeremiah Magruder and at the same time Hannah Sprigg wife of Joseph Sprigg and Rachel Williams wife of Thomas Williams relinquished their right of dower

      Indenture made January 6, 1792; whereas it appears from and instrument of writing bearing date October 10, 1774 between John Turner and Philip Turner of the one part and Francis Bealmear of the other part that the said Turners were bound to convey in fee simple the lower half of a tract called "Ralpho" and whereas Thomas Snowden has become the assignee of Francis Bealmear. Now this indenture witnesseth that Philip Turner in consideration of 400 pounds sterling paid by Thomas Snowden and other good causes him thereunto moving has sold his part of the aforesaid tract called "Ralpho" containing 324 acres and beginning at the end of the 18th line of Jeremiah Turner and Josias Turner's part of said tract. Signed Philip Turner in the presence of and acknowledged before Thos. Duckett, Thos. Boyd and at the same time Rachel Turner w/o Philip Turner relinquished her right of dower
