      Will of James Baldridge of the Parish of Appomattox in the County of Westmoreland, being very sick and weak in body, dated 20 April 1664.
      To be decently intered as near to my deceased father as may be. All my whole personal estate unto my loving wife Elizabeth Baldridge and my son William Baldridge, equally to be divided It is not my will that my wife shall have her thirds and the half of the remainder but the whole be equally divided.
      My wife shall be guardian to my son Wm. Baldridge during his minority.

      Will of Dorothy Baldridge of Appomattox in the County of Westmoreland, widow, being very weak in body, dated 2 Nov. 1662.
      To my grandchild Charles Baldridge the first mare colt that any of my mares shall bring.
      Unto William the son of my nephew James Baldridge the first mare colt that come of the colt that I have given my grandchild Charles Baldridge.
      Unto my nephew James Baldridge three hogsheads of tobacco.
      Unto Joshua the son of Thomas Butler the next mare colt that shall come of any of my mares after Charles Baldridge is
      satisfied his mare colt, likewise two cows.

      Unto my nephew James Baldridge the great long gun that was his father's.
      It is my will and mind that Bowle and Challace be sent for out of England this shipping and that my executor shall pay
      2000 pounds of tobacco for them, the bowie and challace to the parish church of Appomattox to celebrate the Communion and
      that my name be engraved in the bowie and challace.
      All the rest of my estate unto my grandchildren Elizabeth Baynham, Anne Baynham and Mary Baynham equally.

      p.83. Deed of Gift. 20 Aug 1657. James Baldridge, Gent, Administrator "of Major Thomas Baldridge my late Borther dec'd". In that Westmoreland Court has granted an order of Quietus est on the estate of Major Thomas Baldridte, "as also a Quietus est upon the estate of Thomas Baldridge a Kinseman of mine without Accounting unto the Court". These orders dated with these presents, 20 Aug 1657. James Baldridge now gives to "James Baldridge sone of the said Major Thomas Baldridge" one half of a petent "granted unto me the said Mr James Baldridge and my brother Marjor Thomas Baldridge by Sr Wm Berkeley". The patent recorede below. The half surveyed by Major Wm Lewis 16th July 1657 and is 420 acres out of the dividend of 840 acres. It adjs Potomack River, the land of Laniel Lisson, etc.

Adjs Hollis Creek, the main river, the land of Hercules Bridges, the land of John Cook, etc. Due for transporting 17 persons. This patent recorded in Westmoreland Co 20th August 1657.

      13 Nov. 1660. James Bauldridge to Philipe Silvester. So much of the land that was formerly Thomas Muns' any one man can manure or tend with corne or tobacco or what else he doth plant and Muns his dwelling house for Silvester his life time. James Baldridge am for to fitt and new cover the dwelling house whensoever Phillipe Silvester shall require it, giveing me a mounths warning. I engage to give Phillipe Silvester and Margarete Silvester his daughtre their dyett, washing and making of their linning during three yeeres beginning 2 May next Mrs. Elizabeth Bauldridge, James Bauldridge his wife, is to carefully looke to Margarette Silvester during the three years. I do give liberty to Phillipe Silvester to keepe hoggs and cattell upon the land.

      Simon Thomas did arest James Balldridge and Baldridge hath not appeared. It is ordered that John Lord, Sheriff, bringe forth James Baldridge to the next Court or faileing therein to pay Simon Thomas what hee shall make appear due.
      _ Upon motion made by Mr. John Lord, Sheriff, an attachment Is granted unto him against the estate of James Balldridge to save him harmless.
