      KNOW ALL MEN that I THOMAS PAIGE of the Parish of Sittenbourn in the County of Rappa. have upon severall good cause already in hand reced have for my self my heirs and assignes consented & sold unto RICHARD JONES Marriner in the County of LOWER NORTH FOLK in ELIZA. RIVER all my right of the One half of a Devident of land as specified in a Pattent bearing date the 20th of February in the year One thousand Six hundred Sixty & two cont. by the Pattent Six hundred acres of land bounding to the East upon JOHN WATSON & from thence runing W. upon the River & bounding there upon Mr. THOMAS LUCAS SENR. & from the River a mile backwards into the Woods the East part of which sd land with the cleared ground & all the houses & Edificies thereunto appertaining & every of the aforesd premises I do sell from me the abovesd THOMAS PAIGE & my heirs unto RICHARD JONES his heirs & assignes of the River & County aforesd to use enjoy forever without molestation & moreover that in case the cleared ground do extend it self more then one half of the land upon the river that then the sd RICHARD JONES shall allow as much for the consideracion thereof backward into the woods & furthermore THOMAS PAGE doth hereby promise to make a firme delivery unto RICHARD JONES his heirs or assignes before the first day of February next ensuing the date hereof Agreemt.       KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I THOMAS PAIGE of the Parrish of Sittingbourne in the County of Rappa for and in consideration of Eighty thousandpounds of good Merchantable Tobacco and caske to me already paid by MARTYN JOHNSON of the place aforesaid have given bargained and sold unto the sd Martyn Johnson and his heires a parcell of land cont: three hundred acres scituate lying and being in the parrish of Sittingbourne aforesd on the South side of the Rappa. River being the one Moyety of six hundred acres of land whereon I now live begining on the North side of a Branch called the Landing Branch at a marked red oake standing at the West side of the fence and extendeth it selfe South parrallell to the other Moyety of the said Land a Mile to a marked Stake neare to a marked red oake thence West 150 perches to a marked white oake standing the side of a Western Branch of a small Creeke wch divides it from the land of Mr. THOMAS LUCAS SENIOR thence North by and through the sd Creeke in a line of marked trees to the River side thence East to the place firs menconed To Have and To Hold In Wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale dated March the 26th 1666

      WHEREAS we RICHARD WEST and THOMAS PAIGE both of the Parish of Sittingbourne in the County of Rappa. in Virga. are possessed of a certain Patt: Cont. 300 acres of land scituate lying and being in the Parish and County aforesd and on the south side of Rappa. River now KNOW YEE that whereas the Eastermost moyety or halfe part of the aforesd Six hundred acres of land being in joynt tennancey betweene us and wee by Joynt consent intending to divide the premises betweene us and to ye uses of our several heires These therefore Witnesseth that I Richard West doe for me my heires bargain and sell unto the said Thos. Paige his heires the one halfe or moyety of the said three hundred acres of land being by Joynt consent divided by us and bounded as is hereafter menconed begining at a marked red oake by the River being the Corner tree of the Dividing Lyne betweene MARTYN JOHNSON and the said THOMAS PAIGE coming up by the North side of a branch to a marked wt oake by the Peach Orchard and thence runing across the aforesd three hundred acres of land to a white oake on the So: side of a Huckleburry Swampe and Soe South into the Woods by a lyne of marked trees to a red oake joyning to Mr. WM FOGGs Path and from thence alonge the path by a marked red oake near the Miles End and soe to the Miles End as the path runneth the said Thos. Paige To Have and to Hold the Eastermost moyety or halfe part of the said three hundred acres of land being one hundred and fifty acres more or less wth all manner of houses and halfe of the Peach Orchard wth all gardens and other appurtenances wtsoever in and uppon the said land belonging as alsoe the said Tho Paige to have all convenient uses of all Landings in and upon the one halfe or moyety of the sd RICHARD WESTs his land as the said Paige had formerly when it was in his the said Paiges Possession wth all right and privilidges as is to me granted to him the sd Thomas Paige his heires for Ever and further the said Richard West and ANN his Wife doe for us our heires covenant and grant to the sd Thomas Paige his heires That the said Thomas Paige his heires shall and may from time to time and at all times hereafter
